Am I the only person who would travel to Japan with a spare suitcase just for skin care shopping? 🤣😂This is such a wonderful video! Thank you! Fortunately, we have Candy Doll beauty in SF for Asian skin care and cosmetics, I'll make a list and see what I can find!
I wish SF had more Japanese drugstore skincare. CD beauty has a very limited selection compared to what we can find in Japan. And yes, definitely traveling light when going to Japan. Skincare there is so adorable and of excellent quality.
@@theoneandonly2503 I completely agree! My Brother and sister in law travel to Japan frequently, 2x year or more. Although CD has lots of goodies, I readily admit, from hearing what they have to say, Japan is better for drug store skin care!
I live in atlanta and there's a bunch of new stores with asian skincare and cosmetic products like teso and tokyo kuma, but the prices here are soo much more expensive than the prices than in japan. a &honey hair oil costs above $20 here while its like $10 in japan 🥲
This was so useful as I am currently planning a trip to Japan. I wonder how much I'm going to have to budget for skincare and stationery. Also I would be so lucky to be able to book a head spa. I am obsessed with all things Japanese!
Yes, this video was inspired by pretty much everyone going to Japan and asking me for recs! I admit I could spend an entire trip just looking at stationery. It's overwhelming, so unique and delightful! Luckily much of it is not expensive at all.
OOh so much fun! When you're in the Thai drugstores, check out some of the sunscreen selection they have from Garnier etc. I haven't found them anywhere else in Asia. I think they're exclusive to the Middle East and Thailand!
So appreciate the detailed info and the occasional notes on the screen such as noting that a product doesn’t have fragrance Several items here I’m ordering so much appreciated!
Few things make me happier than a new video from you beautiful Renee❤️ So inte rested in trying some Japanese skincare . Wonderful recommendations, will definitely following them up especially the B.B. cream 🤓
Welcome back Renee!! This came at the perfect time as I’m currently visiting Japan! I’m really keen on trying a Japanese sunscreen because I’ve heard great things but I’m allergic to chemical sunscreens and prefer a physical/mineral sunscreen. Do you know if most of the ones on the Japanese market are chemical?
I have worked for rhoto and i believe Skio doesn’t belong to rhoto, it is one of the owned brands of matsukiyo instead😂 rhoto only owns melano cc, obagi/dermacept if you are looking for vitamin c serums
it says it's from Rohto pharmaceuticals on the packaging and they also state it on all the in-store signage so i'm confused. How exciting you worked for them. It may be an exclusive to matsukiyo but not sure
Nice!, I like the same Japanese hair styling stick to use on my natural mid thigh length 2a, 2b hair type, my dad's full south asian and mom's hawaiian, Japanese drugstore is the best, I shop Japanese drugstore items in Florida
Thanks Renee. I said I really couldn't buy anymore skincare until I at least get through half my stash, and as an esthetician, you can imagine I have lots, but I want to buy everything you just talked about. So...yeah. Love you still tho 🥰💗💋
Thanks for another great video and for all of your expertise and integrity! A while back in one of your videos you mentioned you were testing a new Vitamin C, so I'm wondering if this SKIO serum you highlighted is that? I do love the MilanoCC! So I am excited to try this SKIO serum, but wondering if you are still testing another L-ascorbic product we can expect to hear about, or if the SKIO is that 'next try'. I continue to adore your essence day and night - can't thank you enough 🙂
why is it that they market it for sensitive skin when there are a lot of plant extracts? They are not well studied effective and skin sensitizing ingredients.
Matsumokiyo is a short for matsumoto kiyoshi You can find them in many locations. Often they have yellow strap. It looks like on the video is the Hong Kong one.
No recommendation has led me astray here. I’m black with oily skin, living in a humid and hot country. Polar opposite to you, and yet… at this point, I’d probably trust you with my life 😅
I watched this before travelling to Singapore thus summer so I was able to purchase a few of these items. The hair stick is amazing. I used it all month while travelling in Asia where it’s humid and I always looked put together. Really appreciate your reviews.
Timing couldn’t be better! I’m flying in 2 days and i was scrolling through your old videos hoping to find recommendations. Thank you thank you thank you! 🙏🤍
