G'day Thomas (& Paul), Yay Team ! Newsflash fellas - last week I was in Inverell for a pre-Chemotherapy Audiology Assessment, so I made the pilgrimage and videoed the reunion. For a good giggle at what took me for my first Solo, backtrack me to my Videos, or title-search YT for, "National Transportation Museum ; Visiting My First Aeroplane...!" It's 10 years since I posted a Video slideshow of it made from still photo's and magazine articles ; and I've been meaning to make an insitu video, on location. Backtrack me to see an actual flying Lawnmower ! Such is life, Have a good one... Stay safe. ;-p Ciao !

Warble! Always good to hear from you. Man chemo is tough, I enjoyed your e-bike ride along, and I hope the Chemotherapy is successful and your recovery is ok! Best wishes!! -Thomas (& Paul, he is right next to me as I write this!)

@@BMSWEB Thanks fellas...! It's funny, the first dose of Chemo (70 mg Cis-Platin) goes in with no drama, but the morning after some nausea kicks in... The Linear Accelerator is AMAZING..., though ; because they're cooking my mouth and neck the Beam goes close enough to my Retinae and Optic Chiasm that I'm able to see the Field Effects - bright white Dendritic "Drainsge patterns" as it lights up the Optic Nerve when the Beam transits close (right eye only, the right Tonsil is the Primary...), and there are blue bands of colour, and pink Blobs... I feel like a character in a Robert Heinlein novel, watching by the faint blue glow of Cherenkov Radiation..., wondering what will still work after the Session. Yesterday was a bit scary - after seeing the Optic Nerve lit internally glowing White, when they took the mask off me everything was blurry (!) for half an hour before I got my long focus back...; then I figured that the Mask must've compressed my Eyes, pushing some water from the Aqueous Humour into my Corneas, distorting their shapes a bit. It's fascinating to come up to speed on - and if you saw the size of the secondary tumour ("ET the Evil Twin") that's trying to emerge from my Sub-Mandibular Lymph-Node well the alternative would be to strangle, or go down in a red fountain, some time after the Equinox... (my timeline extrapolation that - which causes the Oncology staff to blanch, clench jaws, and say "Hmmmmn..!", indicating that they would like to argue but they can see that I've observed this trajectory in previous cases. Back in the olden dayze, we used to do extensively horribly invasive surgery, I scouted in a 5-hour Radical Neck Dissection in 1983..., and the surgery sometimes worked if it was done very early (rarely was it picked up early though) , but it wrecked the patient's quality of life very thoroughly. They tell me that Chemo-Radiotherapy is intended to be "Curative" with an expectation of success of 90%. Ditching the Chemo side would probably halve that expectation, so I'll try to cope with the Cis-Platin as well as the Head Cooking. In for a penny, in for a pound, it seems... Did you manage to see the National Transportation Museum Video ? They were really good, let me wander around, showing all their Cars and stuff..., and then get a lot of good shots of the old 3rd 1975 pre-production Prototype of the Mk-1 Skycraft Scouts, which went into production after ANO-95.10 was gazetted in August 1976 - following the inspection of, and demonstration of, the "Red Baron" Skycraft Scout by the Dep't of Transport's Aviation Safety Beaureau in January 1976. I saw the TV News report of the Inspection-Demonstration during School Holidayze as a 15 yr-old. In '77 the 12 Mk-1 Scouts were sold, 12 Hp Pixi Major powered and initially featuring all single-swaged bracing wires, and the 3rd prototype wasn't sold to Neil Cottee until late '77 or early '78 - retrofitted with the upgraded double-swaged Anti-Drag Wires before going to Bowral, as part of the "stable" at Olde Bowral Airfielf. They had a production Mk-1 in Olive Drab with RFC Roundels as well - intending mock Dogfjghts until the realisation sunk in that circumnavigating a Paddock is quite a major achievement and mock dogfighting was never goanna happen. So, in November '78 it came to me, in pieces, literally in 3 different Hangars..., and I was able to assemble and rig it and taxi- test it - wingless, then fully-fledged ; and after a Coffee with legs dangling downladder while sitting on the floor of the Control Tower..., getting the look of the thing fixed in my head...; I put another Quart of BP-Zoom in the Tank and went out and let the Scout teach me to levitate with a modicum of safety... And nobody else ever flew it again - because Glen Innes is further up the Mountain than Bowral, and January is hotter than November, so Density Altitude made even Ground Effect unattainable..., then the Aluminium Bushes overheated and siezed on the steel tube Axles, and the Nylon Wheelhubs melted on the Bushes - squirting molten plastic sideways as the Wheels ceased to track on the Axles. Dad fixed the Wheels, and also modified the Crankshaft we installed after the original broke during a Ground Run..., and the bloke who bought it only tried to fly it once - but the Prop. Hub Bolts failed when he opened the Throttle for take-off... Therefore, the World's 1st Legal Minimum Aircraft survived, more or less intact, to decorate the National Transportation Museum, in Inverell... You should get a bit of a giggle out of it...(?). Such is life, Have a good one... Stay safe. ;-p Ciao !

I still fly my K6 from time to time, it has modern parts atm and flies beautifully. Definitely something I'd love to try out sometime, handy that Buzz FPV makes parts for them again too! -Thomas
