I feel so heartwarmed listen to it, cause I felt the same when I went to Japan. When I arrived there for the first time it was like coming back home feeling. I felt in a movie of my childhood dream, it was like "I can't even believe I'm here". As the day passed I started to see more of the real thing, things that are very different from Doramas, tv shows or animes, and I felt even more in love. I understand how Japanese people can struggle about freedom they feel because they have to think too much on how other will think about them, it's something most of my Japanese friends complained a lot. My country is the total opposite. We kinda don't care about other people impressions on us, so it makes very difficult to live in a society like that. I think the middle of the way btw Japan and Brazil society would be great lol. Well, anyways, I can't wait to go back to Japan to start my life again :) (waiting my working Visa get done hahaha 頑張ろう〜)
I visited Japan last year and had it on my 'radar' for years. I totally agree with you regarding what you said about being there on the first day 'I can't believe I'm here'. I took a tour for about 10 days and spent a few days before and after that in Osaka and Tokyo. It's amassing over there as a tourist.
Yes! I can so much relate to this! I'm originally from Ukraine and when I just started to learn about Japanese culture I was fascinating about the idea of whole society caring for each other and thought "this is so awesome, why my country can't be like this"! But now I understand, there is so much more to it and it comes with some now so great things too... So good and bad everywhere.
What a wonderful video. I am following Ryori sensei on Instragram, he is a great professor, I have learned a lot with him. He is a very kind person too. Thank you for sharing this useful video with us. I am learning Japanese since more than 1 year ago and I am struggling with kanjis, buy mainly with having a conversation in Japanese. ありがとうございます。
