I’ve been watching these videos for quite some time now but have to say I can’t imagine these trucks lasting long, a Hino Ranger Tractor SG 280 TH pulling a combined weight of around 60t I’m quite confident in saying they were never meant to be working that hard especially on hills like that, the excavator alone is around 34t, I bet the temperature gauge is off the scale.
Typical Indonesian trucks (India, Bangla, more or less like those developing countries) are Over Dimension Over Load, because the company of the drivers recruited is most likely not too concerned with safety, only based on the goods/cargo must be sent at all costs.. Its normal in developing country...

11:18 UPDATE Having discovered it's an assistance required by the truckers themselves, I now realise it isn't a scam but a helper's donation the truckers give them> Thanks for enlightening me. re: (original post) I see so many of these "scammers" at every curve, taking money from the drivers. DaMn but that must be an expensive trip for them. Handing over curve-cash everywhere they turn up that one mountain road alone. Is it because those who stand there, expect to be paid to help the drivers negotiate those tight curves or what.
This is a very special curve/section of the road, where those guys there are to a great help in reducing risk of traffic jams and delays for the drivers. They are not everywhere, and the payment is not demanded. But the truck drivers want them there, and hand them some few cents. The small money they donate to the guys, like 0.25 USD, is not very expencive. Possible more delays and damages to trucks are potentailly so much more expencive than those few cents.
Yg ijo kehabisan nafas krn ketika di tanjakan pertama dia ngerem & mengurangi gas 2:53. Beda dgn si biru tidak mengurangi gas dan stabil ketika nanjak 1:55
In Deutschland fährt man nur sehr selten mit japanischen LKWs, natürlich nutzt man viele europäische LKWs... in Indonesien fährt man nicht so oft mit europäischen LKWs, weil die Preise sehr hoch sind

@@HieraRev ia itu maksud saya... 4x2 itu maksud nya penggerak boss ku... Kalau masalah casis yang 4x2 pun banyak yang long... Seharus nya membawa excavator seberat 35 -40 ton itu harus nya hino tractor head 285, 320 atau yang 350 nah itu baru yang 6x4...
