The Japanese society has a lot of similarities with Islamic values. The hygiene, taking of shoes at home, washing away the urine with water, the value of simple life, the honoring of the elders, the patience when someone wrongs you, the idea that we should think the best of someone if it looks like maybe he might have bad intentions... Also there have been some small studies claiming that the samurai learned their way of life from the Mujahideen. And by the way, the Japanese kana's (two of the three alphabets they use) came from the same source as Arabic, so there are some similarities (the Arabic و can be partly found in many u-sound letters for example る む ぬ)...

Then Islam spread widely with trade and the marriage of princesses or nobles with ulama, and ulama did da'wah too, islam abolishing caste, glorifying morals.
