1:11... The sheer fact that he worked for 55yrs since he was 18yrs, speaks normality in Japan for the most part. They're constantly staying busy 7 days a week, rarely having a social life. I cant judge other cultures, but I certainly could NEVER live a life like his. I've been happily retired (no work to this day) for 6yrs and have a great social life. Im more happy that way, and maybe its the same for this hardworking Japanese man.
That's because you probably had a job you took no pride in, barely made any significant contributions, which is why you think that way. To a lot, it's a labor of love, and yes, it can be that way for somebody who is culturally Japanese (you need to do some traveling bud). Just look at what made in the USA means vs. made in Japan (one is known for lackluster and sometimes junk products vs. quality and long lasting).
@@greg.peepeeface You already judging me poorly lol, not knowing that Ive been to Japan 5 times. Also I do travel a lot, have you seen my YT vids? Let my videos speak for itself, whereas you have nothing to show for. So I would have to reciprocate that to you (you need to do some travelling bud). Lastly, you're right about not taking pride in my job, I let my subordinates do my work while I use PTO for travelling, which is my passion mind you. I love learning about different cultures and trying out their food. I take pride in that, thank you very much.
It's probably just his way of life. If you gave him the kind of free time you have and told him to just relax he would probably not know what to do with himself and want to go back to work lol
