Japanese roof tiles 

I wonder, at the end 21:10 or so, the excess wire is wound into a ball and left there, but I dont see any waterproof sealing, so there is a hole allowing water to enter under the cap tile on the ridges, which leads directly down through the mortar to the wood underneath. Is this normal?
