You should definitely get a dog for protection purposes. They will love that they can be outdoors most of the time. The dog can also be your eyes and ears especially when you’re asleep.

I admire your lifestyle, you have the freedom to go and come as you please and you don't have to be around anyone you don't want to and you don't have to depend on anyone, it's extremely admirable.

Me: I wouldn’t want to live in a van/rv I don’t think I could do it. Also me: I love watching other people live in a van/rv it looks so fun!

It's cool how you are living free, not really tied down like most of us. My suggestion though. People are crazy. Please invest in self defense training and maybe some other forms of protection. I wish you much peace and success. You are definitely living the dream.

You have inspired me to start living out of a rv myself. I was unsure since I didn't know how to do anything at first but in the course of 4 months I have been learning a lot and I absolutely enjoy it. It's hard work but after its done its nice to take a step back and believe you accomplished something great! Congratulations on your new rv and can't wait to see how it turns out! Thank you for inspiring me. :)

I would def add a sliding door too for the bathroom door instead for better functionality and lengthen wall as you mentioned and add at least a 3' length ,18-19" width and 8-9" height for tub. I wouldn't have hardly much room for toilet space but a tub is a plus for me. And then I would knock out the old kitchen for more room for your bathroom and then for your closet, I would buy those clear see through triple stack drawer bins or nice thrift store drawers, paint it whatever color you like. I like white or pink gold, makes things so clean and beautiful to the eye and buy a hanging rod to hang any other clothing items, your jackets. I would buy 1-3 inexpensive hat and or scarf, purse hooks that have 3 or more hooks in one you can just hammer or drill on wall of your closet and a small light you can add on top your storage drawer or buy at thrift store a small table and chair for your vanity area in your closet and nice inexpensive rod for your drapes to cover your closet or a sliding door. I would def extend your kitchen, take out the old furniture. I would start my reshaping of a U shape from the closet, kitchen and bathroom then to living space which also would expand towards the front of closet, near the back door would be futon probably on diagonal and TV would face closet and be just under the bed so the bed would have no distractions from getting a good night's sleep then buy 2 simple shelves you can drill over your kitchen stove on the wall to put dishes, glasses etc and a bin that has 2 drawers that extend out like a folding cabinet and put that sucker right under the sink/ stove area to store food. And small inexpensive fridge. I would buy a folding table that extends for counter space and one of those chairs that fold but has a nice cushion like a stool for your work area to minimize space and a shag rug like from 5 & below, and a nice flower vase to adorn your work table or inexpensive table center piece. You can buy wooden storage bins you can drill or hammer on your wall to put books, magazines in or whatever, that can eliminate space on ground and free space on ground. You can create storage steps that go to your bed to eliminate and hide clutter. A futon would def work for overngt guest or for TV watching. These are some of my ideas. Hope you can use some of them if you haven't already. Can't wait to catch up on the rest of your Van life vids. Keep em coming Janelle. Love you
