If you are asking about the play with the fox in it, that is the final act of the kabuki play Yoshitsune Sembon Zakura (Yoshitsune And The Thousand Cherry Trees). It was originally written for the puppet theatre and adapted for the Kabuki Theatre where it has remained popular ever since. The fox, Tadanobu, is one of the more popular characters in kabuki.
