YES! same boat with maximum tune. stream of tears was my gateway lol. tried looking for a proper name for this genre, with "dream trance" being the closest term i've found since now.
Japanese trance is the closest i can come up with. To describe what dreamy and whimsical trance i have in my mind. Its hard to explain to what im truly looking for. And its really hard to find it. But its out there somewhere..

Not bad, reminds me of 1999-2001 UK trance, similar style and beats, the sound is correct, I listened a lot to trance from 1998 - 2003 when it was mainstream and on weekly all night duration radio shows and CD sales. Trance fell away after about 2005 and was more or less wiped from view by the record labels by 2008 when American rapper music was pushed to certain demographics ("woke city kids") Also When you could not buy and install after market car stereos to cars due to built in moulded into dashboard "infotainment" (very bad quality) systems the appeal of loud dance music in cars (youth interest) went away, it was a cultural pass time /hobby for youths (17-25 year old) to play loud bass and pumping dance music in their cars 🎶 🎶 🔊 🎶 🚘🎶 The self swappable stereo systems were removed from the market by car makers signing deals with mediocre/poor quality electronics manufacturers building low quality audio equipment locked into vehicle dashboards, you could not install a better stereo with more power and volume.. British Police also began to regard youths as trouble and problematic, and youths were actively targeted to discourage/make them sick of driving and take them away from the roads, they would harass young people in cars and issue fines for playing music at any volume.. Together with an attitude against playing music at parties, the Police and the motor vehicle industry silenced trance music in the UK and people lost exposure and were unable to play music to enjoy.. later there were restrictions that followed which led to output volumes of personal stereo/walkman/ipod/mobile phone speakers and headphones 🎧 being limited and also home audio equipment being limited in the software(firmware) to cap output volume.. Regulations damaged the market for swappable car stereos and also for trance music as a whole..
I was thinking the same thing... Sounds a lot like 1998-2002 late 90s/early 00s trance in terms of the style and especially in terms of melody... Memories. 😃🙌🏻
