I can't remember Sears doing exclusives on Transformers but I do know they were doing so with GiJoe for a long time in Canada. They should have rogued the GoBot name Spay-C but I'm biased for shuttles in that colour scheme. I think there was a transformer in a comic with that name anyways.
Black Zarak is probably the best since the G1 toy is a breakage hazard thanks to GPS & overall the new Scorponok really exceeds the G1 toy. But with a lot of these I notice that they tend to linger & have poor resale value on the aftermarket despite their original toy being rare & expensive. I suspect the KO companies don't really make them because late-era Japanese G1 episodes didn't really air in China or are at least a lot less popular, so the characters have no demand "locally". You'd think at least the easy repaints like Guard City, G2 Menasor, etc would just happen but no one makes them. Scorponok got a KO as well but no BZ. They may also not be willing to spend the money on the original toys to recast them either as they would need mint condition copies of the parts.
I have some friends who own an original Black Zarak. I am surprised the new one isn't very popular. Yeah, I am sure there are lots of reasons the KO companies don't make Japanese exclusive toys. Maybe they'll watch this video and change their minds...
@@ToySpotlite Let alone the fact no one is making a KO of Megatron, of which the reasons are still a mystery on that one... I considered rigging the new Minerva to use the headmaster from the Fans Hobby Godbomber set, but since Hasbro pins everything together now it looked like a lot of work involved.
10:50 For someone who didn't watch Masterforce or Victory, that's pretty much what happened after Minerva and the rest of the gang rescinded the Masterforce braces. The bots show up in Victory with their former Headmaster and Godmaster personalities.

She was a human piloting a lifeless transformer body until the end of the show all the humans were separated form the autobots body's to make them weaker because no humans no extra powers. And the big bad also separated the decepticons because apparently the human aspects made them weaker funny enough. I think it was said they were alive before coming to earth but the big bad basically lobotomized them and hence why they needed the humans and the masterforce energy to power them.

You missed a Leo Prime (there are a lot, arn't there?) In Titans Return, Japan did NOT get Alpha Trion, instead they got the figure in Leo Prime's colors but with the Titans Return Sentinel Prime head instead.
I just casted a Mold for Fracus. Turned out pretty good. Trying to get a artfire G1. If I can find one just with fists .I can cast the rest./ OH but you forget we got stuff Japan never did. Yes they git Minerva, Artfire & stepper. But Look what we got. We got a G1 JetfireThe Deluxe Insecticons, WHirl, Roadbuster. In their original Line did not even released Ironhide, Sky lynx or omega surpreme. Then Later on molds we got Japan never did. Double target masters, Pretender vehicles the 1989 small pretenders Like Bludgeon. Vroom the 2nd wave of 1988 pretenders. Honestly I think Our line was better. Cause of licensing at the time. Also don't forget we got Shockwave too. Japan got none of those ALso the triggerbots & triggercons too. Also you missed Black Zarak too. We got on in generations selects & Cybertron version Dark Scorponok. Plus Titans Return Overlord. & Don't forget black Shadow, Released as sky shadow here in US.
I haven't got Artfire but I have Hauler and except for the Grapple mould issues such a good figure, hate Metalhawk and Cyclonus though people rave about them but the knees are terrible. Minerva isn#t great either but I do like the figure yet I don't know why.
@@ToySpotlite oh, I didn't know that. I've always just associated the character with Beast Wars second so I never knew he was ever released in America before the Legacy United figure.
