It was also done in front of the people they slaughtered and defeated. Make no mistake, part of this may have been to honor the fallen, but a good amount of it was to add insult to injury to the people they massacred.
@@svartirbjorn197 “warrior people” the Japanese were never “warrior people”. That was just propaganda from WWII wrath imperialists. Japan was always known for its predominant culture, literature, architecture, religion, and statecraft. The Mongols, were warrior people, the Vikings were warrior people. The Japanese, had warriors, but not everyone was meant to be one. They were more civilized than that.

@@070272kt yah I can see why the war censors wouldn't like the film. By showing refugee's, war damage and etc. Can you please tell me what is written down before the Russian church scene. I assume its in Manchuria somewhere. Thanks alot
@@tonymoretti2347 I think the church is the Church of Alexander Nevsky. The place will be Wuhan City. The 52-minute subtitle is the day when Wuhan's anti-Japanese collapse.
Lessons about the Nanjing Massacre are often left to the history teacher for that class. My history teacher told me about some of the terrible actions that the Japanese Imperial Army carried out in Nanjing, but I never heard that the soldiers performed the Fisherman's Dance in Nanjing.

@@user-ls9ky3bz8bAt least they wouldn't do biological weapons test on civilian. They would not forced little girl to do. They would not use human leg bone as smoking pipe. They would not rob others houses. They would not massacre a whole city or village.
