Two words come to my mind..."Jeep" and "Wrangler". Nice video.

An authentic wilderness experience. The guitar strumming and singing made it more so!

I've done this trip several times and love it. Jarbidge is one of my favorite places. Home of the last stagecoach robbery in America, some great locals that welcome you to town and just down the trail there's a great swimming hole..... Just a lot of history and some great hunting as well.

Really bad ass! I remember being in a four wheel jeep going straight up the side of a mtn to a ghost town. Great memories eating watermelon on the steps.

One interesting fact about Jarbidge is that they have designated it as one of only 9 or 10 places in the World as having perfect air quality.

Mystr E I gotta say, you got one of the best necks of the woods. Cali is so overrun with people, it can be tough to find a secluded place. Nevada is heaven. I hope it never changes.

I don’t have any advice on footwear or axes. I just enjoyed your vid. Looks like you all had a great time! Headed out that way with some friends in early March....we’ll see how far we get with the snow.

Is Jarbridge as cool as I think it is ? I dream about going to this remote locale and soonest. BTW if you dont mind answering a question about your explorations ? What trip of yours; did you find to be the most interesting, and for what reasons ? I like your channel mainly because you get far far back into the distant back country. This is what I am preparing for myself. Like you; building my own 4x4 backcountry RV. Either based off of a van or 4 door truck chassis. But lately I have been doing alot of research into duece and a halfs. I like that multi-fuel engine adaptation. But then again; I see your buddy with that Toyo just motoring right along like no ones business. That smaller truck makes alot of sense when you pull up to the gas station.....lol.....

+Quinton P. Young III i love questions. Yes, Jarbidge is amazing. I wished i had a month up there to continue into southern Idaho. Very remote, beautiful, and the town of Jarbidge is great - like stepping back in time - like a modern pioneer town. It's hard to pick one trip/area I like the most, but I find myself wanting to return to NEVADA more and more. Other trips that were note able was western Death valley (mengel pass), and exploring Grand Escalante, Utah. Escalante is unique in the fact that it is still BLM, and it's not as trafficked as much as the nat parks of Utah. I've been falling more in love with Nevada. It's completely ignored by tourists, yet has so much to offer. For quiet, and remote exploration, Nevada is hard to beat. I love those deuce and 1/2s. Serious cool-factor, but I'd have issues with on-road manners, and the long wheelbase. BUT...those trucks could haul the baddest camper you could come up with, plus the weight of toys/extra gear.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I tend to agree that Nevada is hard to beat. Such a huge state but few people to clutter it up. I suppose you might be like me in just wanting to get away from other people. Keep these videos coming we sure do appreciate them.

Nice vid, but I think you boys were lost LOL. One day you will regret having worn sandals in the back country when you have to head home early for a slashed toe or foot... ;-)

sorry if you mentioned this but my speakers are broken. is Jarbidge Wilderness only accessible by a high clearance vehicle, or can you access parts with a normal car? Lamoille Canyon appears to be at least semi accessible with a regular car. loved the video, just beautiful
@Feraldrinker
@Feraldrinker 5 лет назад
Yes, both Lamoille and Jabidge wilderness can be accessed with a car. Some trails won’t be accessible, but a car can get you to some great areas.

Your Buddy is quite the musician and a lot of fun. Thinking of fun. Commander Cody once wrote a song called too much fun check it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aHe2v8lT8zc.html Regards, Ody

+Ody Slim yea, he's a great adventure buddy. We're gonna record a bunch of Irish folk songs for future video soundtracks. Him on fiddle, me on guitar. Thanks for the song recommendation. Ill check it out.
