Destiel's BiggestFan In fact it was Jensen who was supposed to be Sam; but then Jared auditioned and they decided that he was better for the role and switched Jensen from Sam to Dean...
i love how when spn first started it was literally set up to fail... no one auditioned, the network was cancelling shows, the creators had already estimated a 3 season cap... but now its the longest running show on cw and of its genre and has the weirdest, craziest, awesomest fans ever.... i love it
The Demi actually, the car crash at the end of the first season was supposed to kill them for good. There wasn't supposed to be a second, third, fourth, fiftieth season
I think it was a situation where they just assumed they would be cancelled, as their viewing numbers were on the low side. They thought that every year for the first several years, which is one reason they (Kripke, etc.) took such chances with the storylines. That made for a great ride for us, the audience, and established a taking chances dynamic that exists to this day. Love this show.
it was great because they really did have high voices in the early episodes, I remember rewatching some recently and going man, Jared looks so young, and their voices are really high.
Tbf, the first 3 seasons were kind of f@#$ed. The deaths were gritty asf, the characters were sad with depressing backstories and rarely if ever were there a happy ending. Best case was bittersweet endings and those were very rare. The show looked like the purgatory episodes in the later seasons.
This interview is gold in every aspect. 0:38 *Jensen:* “I was like, ‘Wow, this guy is really tall and skinny.’” *Jared:* “And I was like, ‘Wow-“ *Jensen:* “‘This guy is handsome.’” (Fist pump) 2:50 *Jared:* “‘Hey, where you from?’ ‘Texas.’ ‘Oh, me, too.’” *Audience:* “Yee haw!” *Jared:* “Yee haw. Yee-fricken-haw.” 3:10 *Jensen:* “Then my question was... ‘Where is everybody else?’ ...He’s like, ‘I don’t know.’ He’s like, ‘Are you reading for Sam or Dean?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m reading for Dean.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m reading for Sam.’ And I’m like, ‘S... So where is everybody else?’”
Miss Priss God is our creator, and his son Jesus Christ died and rose again in the third day so anyone who accepts Him as their Lord & Savior he may have eternal life! 🙏🏻
Asstazztic not everyone is religious so you shouldn’t say something that someone believes in is crap especially as a lot of people could say that to you.
It's not that no others auditioned, but by the point J2 met the network people seemed pretty sure that Jared and Jensen were the guys they wanted for the roles, and didn't even invite the usual crowd of other actors for a live audition anymore. So that reading in front of studio execs they did sounds more like making sure they're a) as good a match for the parts as they seemed on tape, and b) they have the right on-screen chemistry.
I remember Kripke saying they had 100s of people come in and read for Sam..including Jensen. And Kripke was almost sold on Jensen playing Sam until Jared walked in, after which he felt Jared was a better fit for Sam and Jensen for Dean..which worked out great because Jensen originally wanted to read for Dean but his initial brief was for Sam. And by the time Jensen and Jared met for the first time it was almost already a done deal that these two were being cast for the Pilot.
+新入生愚かしい(C I X I) Haha, took me some time too! Don't know if it's the mix of microphones and audio quality or what but their voices sound surprisingly similar throughout the panel. 😛
NattyJane by the time they met it was more than likely a chemistry reading. Meaning they had already auditioned and the network liked them for the part but had to see if they'd work together. That's probably why they were the only one's there.
The more you star in, the more material the casting director has in order to make their decision. In some cases, it's just a formality or a chemistry read just like these guys probably did. Ackles already had 4 or 5 shows under his belt and Padalecki just got out of Gilmore Girls so they were pretty much cast from that
It's not that no one else showed up, the casting people only invited Jared and Jensen. They went from an initial read to a chemistry read immediately. Usually you would be called back to come and audition a few more times to whittle down their options before doing a chemistry read. This almost never happens. They must have had a really strong feeling that these two were Sam and Dean. I'm impressed with the casting people that they just knew.
Their chemistry together is so freaking incredible and pure😩😭 you can tell they love being around each other and they have a great time together. I love how they just came out and said their lines😂♥️
Wow. Jared just went straight into character when Jensen talked about their first time reading together, and Jensen just followed so quickly my head got a backlash.
They couldn’t of picked a better cast all of them not just Jensen and Jared but the chemistry between the whole cast is amazing only reason it’s lasted 15 seasons.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, that he talked about how many people look like you with more experience, that audition for the same part. I LOVE that he stated how frightening and dehumanizing it feels. OMG I feel like that in auditions all the time! It is nerve wrecking!
