@Child-of-yah
@Child-of-yah 2 месяца назад
He has alot of similarities to Kelce in film he's 6'6 with above avg speed for a TE , he gets great separation during his routes and has a second gear he hits after he catches ball almost like rice he puts foot in ground and runs straight up field . He has some elusiveness and can track the ball ! His downsides are not great blocker and a big YAC guy right now but neither was Kelce when he first came in league ..learning under Kelce is going to do wonders for this kid as far if he's the next Kelce prob not but he can be a perennial pro bowl caliber TE for alot of years especially in KC new offense with rice , Hollywood , worthy , toney as they are gonna stretch the field and make where safety can cheat down and dbl Kelce all game so the TEs are gonna be seeing alot of man coverage vs linebackers all year ..I think we will see MVP mahomes back this year with 5-6000 pass yards and 40-50 TD ..oh yeah also like the undrafted WR we signed he's 6'3 and deep ball threat too

@Nasirmah
@Nasirmah Месяц назад
The balance issue is due his anticipation of the ball, these routes seem to be not designed. He is getting himself open while paying attention to QB and ball. These are great with scrabble situations, even Kelsey does that when he catching and falling, as long as he completes that 3rd and 10 situations. Andy will fix those with designed runs.

Chiefs fan here. Not very happy due to his lack of yac. Probably can just be a Jason Witten possession catcher
@Child-of-yah
@Child-of-yah 2 месяца назад
I think he can turn into a pro bowl TE , he gets great separation and after he catches the ball he puts foot in ground and hits a second speed burst upfield the Yac can come when he adds weight and gets used to NFL defenses I think for where we got him was an excellent pick ! I wanted sinnot or saunders from Texas but I am happy with Wiley also his film reminds me of young Kelce , when he first came in league he wasn't a big YAC TE his first few season took him few years to get used to NFL defenses
@nicholas104
@nicholas104 Месяц назад
He sometimes looks off-balance, but his route running looked great at least.
@Child-of-yah
@Child-of-yah Месяц назад
@@nicholas104 im not worried he has Kelce there the next year or two to teach him all that's correctable and when they add another 10-20 lbs muscle into him he can break more tackles etc , this kid has so much untapped potential if Reid can unlock it all people look back at this pick and say how did he go in 4th . I've seen alot of football insiders raving about this pick and how he fits our offense and how much potential he has , before KC even drafted him last year ppl were calling him baby Kelce after watching film on him I see why he's tall , super athletic , good route runner he's alot like Kelce if he sees the middle of field open he breaks off his route and sits in the middle than after getting ball he slingshots straight up field for 10-15 more yards he has great instincts as far as getting pushed off routes and being tackled easy that can all be addressed by adding weight to him so I'm looking forward to seeing him play this year there's nobody better he can learn from than Kelce ..
@nicholas104
@nicholas104 Месяц назад
@smokedosia1723 I agree. There's no foolproof way to know if he'll be what the Chiefs may hope he becomes, but he does give off some Kelce vibes during a few of his plays.

I want him for the Giants so bad he’s a great target for an offense he’s a clear mismatch in coverage cuz of his big frame and has the athleticism to make some nice catches, he reminds me of Gronk a bit. Hope he can improve as a blocker but I’ve seen enough to want him as a 4th or 5th round pick

Kelce was looked at the same way when he came in league a tall 6'5 TE with above average speed for TE , great at tracking the ball etc , most gms passed on Kelce saying he can't run routes or get separation , he can't block and gets tackled too easy that's why he fell to the 4th Rd I believe it was ..KC has been zoned in on Wiley for at least a month I've heard them speaking about him a few times what I see on tape is a big athletic fast kid who gets open and catches the ball yes he has things to work on but I loved the pick he gets to learn under Kelce and with irv smith jr our TE room is great now and we can run 3te sets alot more and create mismatches on linebackers and safety's
