Damn Jason! There is no burden too heavy that he is willing to carry for Carly. But, Carly's right Jason, the point of protecting each other is so you can fight to be together, not away from each other.

Like I said how was just Carly voice on that recording and not the other mob bosses? It was a setup for Jason to do Cates and fbi job on founding out who's running pikeman.
As much as I loved these scenes as a JarlyFF, every scene after these ones today did nothing for the movement of the story, and were a waste of time. Nothing new was said. Jason and Carly just reaffirmed they would do anything to protect the other, which we know. Carly flip-flopped about whether she'd listen to Jason or not, which isn't new. They had zero movement relationship-wise, in either direction. There were plenty of moments in the dialog for Jason to say anything about why he makes protecting Carly his priority, but they kept it vague. There were also moments when they could have gone the other way, and had a resentment angle if Carly turned herself in (not that I'd want that in any way). The writer's kept it boring, tbh. They need to stop dragging this out. Either have Jason and Carly get together, or put an end to the will they/won't they crap. The only reason it's entertaining at this point is that Laura and Steve are good scene partners and can elevate the dialog.
I agree with you. I was definitely looking for movement one way or the other by the end of the episode, too. When Carly asked why Jason picked her over his family, first he dodged and then he gave her a different reason than what he told Anna. Jason told Anna he weighed what he would lose over what Carly would lose, but with Carly he says he knows what she would do and that didn’t make any sense. Then Jason followed that with he thought that it would have only been a short period of time. It sounds like he had a myriad of reasons, but I just wished that Jason had answered Carly’s question, directly. Then, Jarly seemed like they were going to end on a softer note, but they started yelling and we never saw how Jason left the house. It was disappointing because seeing how he left would have been a big indicator. Plus, there is no Jason, Carly, or Jarly scene on Monday.
@@mimim6857 I feel like it’s a set up for the conversations that Jason will have. Like Jason told Carly, how is Donna going to feel when she finds out that Carly abandoned her for Jason, Jason will have to answer to Jake and Danny for abandoning them. I can see Jake calling Jason out on loving Carly more than his sons. I know that there were other considerations, but I’m just waiting for someone to ask Jason if he’s still in love with Carly.
I want to know if anyone has the clip of Carly attending that meeting, I want to see who the body guards were and exactly who was in that room at that meeting. Also what happened to John Jagger Cate's son whom he called Stone after his brother who died of AIDS, and was romantically involved with Robin which is how she contracted HIV, in 2004 he brought the kid to see Robin and the boy had something like what they diagnosed Leo with over a year ago. By natural aging this boy would now be in his mid to late 20's.
Ok the people at the five families meeting, Selena Woo, Charles Buscema , and Vincent Novak , Cyrus Renault, and Carly Corinthos were present. In the background you can see Brando Corbin and various body guards names unknown. If you watch the clip dated May 5, 2021 Carly never says those words on the recording at least in the clip I found which was put out under General Hospital with a blue check mark. Who wore the wire?
Jason always feel responsible for Carly. He encouraged her relationsjip with Sonny which cost Micheal a head injury and rape in prison. Carly also lost morgan. Jason feels guilty and obligated to Carly. Jason knows his kids are safe in their respective homes. Carly has so much trauma jason always feels the need to protect her, but he is not in love with her. That love of his life will always be sam and her love will always be him. Do you see the pride he has for their love-child Danny he loves that boy and Danny worships Jason. He loves Jake don't get me wrong, Jake will always be the son who made Jason a Dad but him and Danny have a special bond.
I think this is true about the guilt and the need to protect Carly. But I also think he loves the crap out of Carly and considers her family his too (which he’s said in many episodes). He said it long ago - She needs him and he needs her. He puts Carly as #1 because he wants to. He chooses to. I do agree Sam is one of the greatest loves of his life like Robin was his first love. But in the end Sam abandoned him and couldn’t live with his lifestyle , same with Robin. But Carly is as loyal and obligated to Jason the way he is with her. Their loyalty to Sonny is the only reason they wont be together while Sonny’s alive. When he died and they got married I think would have been the only moment they would fully explore being romantic again - at this stage in their relationship and emotional maturity I think it would have worked out too. He can rely and trust in Carly always being there for him and he loves her deeply for it and how she shows up for him - no matter what headaches It causes him. It’s bigger than romance and friendship its a lifelong partnership. I mean she basically got him out of that FBI deal on her own! And of course he loves Danny and I love him getting to know his kids but Michael will always be his first born he has the strongest bond with no matter the biology. I think Jarly should get a shot romantically and get a chance to lay all this on the table it would be an amazing convo and exploration and such good story. Even if they decide to keep the brakes on making it happen at this point with Sonny needing them both to get healthy. Plus this round their chemistry is off the charts! I would love to see the Morgan/Spencer/Quartermaine families intersecting and showing some new dynamics.
