Maddie Griffin 3 days ago +BlackMistxX it's actually not as hard as he makes it look. Some bits for me are quite stretchy because I have tiny arms and hands but it's so fun to play xxx You said on Jarrod Radnich's video you said its not as hard as he makes it look? And yet you're saying its not easy. Make your mind up
What amazes me about all of most if not all of the negative scathing comments is they're all made by Couch Virtuosios, people who can't do any better themselves but take pleasure and pride in demeaning others best attempts. I can play POTC, but nowhere near the standard of Radnich nor this, but that doesn't give me the right to scathe this or those worse than me. And to those ends I say Bravo! Don't listen to the haters, they're the ones with no life. Bravo and keep at it, you can only get better.
+PrefirePeter Yes you can't because there are not enough positive comments here, so the "Smart-White-Knight-CanYouDoBetter-Moral-Fags-" need to defend her in order to beautify the comment section.. Well at least you got the idea.
First of all, she often doesn´t get the tempo right, which is not too bad, but i´d prefer the whole piece in one slower tempo than in diffrent tempos, sometimes slower and sometimes faster. Secondly i´m pretty sure that there was a mistake at 1:30 - 1:31. And even though ist was just one little mistake, you should try every single one if you are taking part in a competition. Obviously it wasn´t bad, but that doesnt mean you can´t do it better. I think that´s the idea behind giving feedback: giving advise so a good job gets done even better.
When i uploaded video i didnt expect so many nice comments and great feedback. I'm so thankful... thank you guys for all positive words it's really means a lot to me. A lot of people asked me for sending them piano sheet.. u can get it on this link jarrodradnich.3dcartstores.com/Pirates-of-the-Caribbean--Virtuosic-Piano-Solo-Sheet-Music-DOWNLOAD-ONLY_p_24.html i sent some but i think is not fair cuz of Jarrod's rights.. merry christmas to all! :)
you very well interprets the piano! great virtuosity in those hands, the wonderful truth, someday I would love to know and thus share both our talent, the piano is a very beautiful and fun! It is very nice to meet talented people with you! Greetings from argentina!
That is the correct answer, any piano teacher will tell you to maintain tempo and gloss over your wrong notes with confidence, the audience is far more likely to be negatively effected by stutter (mis-tempo) than a fraction of a second mis-tune. Although obviously the % of wrong notes needs to be quite low for that statement to hold true.
Everyone keeps saying to play it faster; this is a HARD piece. To play it at the speed you did was amazing in itself. You sounded fantastic, all the people saying to play it faster probably couldn't do even this. Keep it up :D
No dude. Because it's a hard piece you have to do a lot of practice..and then, when the piece is perfect, you can post it on RU-vid or you must write "practising".
so very beautiful and brilliantly talented...love this video and share your love of music I've played guitar for 12 years and piano for 6 and also rap and just being inspired is truly one of the greatest feelings that there is...God bless u and I hope all is well and ur still playing for the love of music thanks
Really good but I feel like playing this slow kind of defeats the purpose. Playing fast and keeping up with the rhythm is a major part of this song. I understand this songs is extremely hard and playing without any to very little mistake is practically impossible, but playing this song at this speed is...unimpressive, if thats the appropriate word. If i were to play at this speed then of course it would be easier. But the song is meant to be hard and meant to be played fast.
You did good girl, don't worry about a couple of misstakes or your speed, I'm also learning this song on the piano, and men this is hard.. Keep on the good work, and i promise you, you will play this peace perfectly!
Very nice I just start listening this melodies, and I started looking for videos like this just because I like listening piano I have to say You have done a great work playin this song it has been very cool for me... I love you
It was good playing I just think you should have a metronome on you honestly. You do know that the piece is meant to be faster right? I'm not trying to be mean just giving my honest feedback. And put more emotions when you're playing. but other than that it was okay you got all th e notes down
+MAVI Check out the video by Maxy Chan. She's an Asian girl who did the piece also. Right away the way she plays just grabs you in. Now she plays amazing and beautifully.
I learned the short Version on my violin but i practised with some good friends and it took over 1 month to practise. But we got an A for it on a schoolfestival so it couldnt be better. I don't hear any mistakes. Couldn't be better😘
I came across your video and I really like it. It's good to see that someone is slowing speed down a little bit. I'm on my way to learn to play this version and I like to watch especially your video because I can follow your hands to see what your fingers are doing. Plus, it sounds a lot more like a melody to me if you play it slow. So thank you for that ☺!
I'm a 12 old, but i can better. I Don't know, maybe my fulfillment more muddled. But she played so slowly trying to avoid mistakes. This is basically correct, but for the performance the audience is soporific. Even if she did 5 times more mistakes (I'm talking about minor errors, such as, for example, you press the wrong key, and so on). The main execution should not be stopping. If you play with stops on the public, it will be, as I said, soporific. I play twice as fast as her, but with biggest number of errors. Do not know whether it is true my opinion, and if we read Google translater, but I know for sure that at least some knowledge of the music in me ...
danikos daw I agree, I recorded a performance a few months ago, and it was almost as fast as Jarrod did it, and although I had a few minor mistakes, keeping it up to temp didn't give you enough time to really notice. soundcloud.com/nid_piano
Lol shush, just because people don't like it doesn't mean they are wrong. The other guy's performance was 100% much better.most of us are just being honest
i've heard th original music .. n i like ur style .. u play it so gracefully with charming feel to it .. im inspired ... n apart from ur music u also do look very beautiful ..!!
+Giorgi Shermazanashvili It took me around 2 weeks. Conservatoire gave me good base and technique. But we have to consider that before this tape I didn' t touch a piano at least 2 years and tape could be better. Its nothing without learning or practising. Practise makes perfect.
Youv'e got it kid! This was beautiful and you are lovely. Obviously you put a lot of hard work in it, pulling it off with no sheet music. I'd bet Jarrod is impressed as well. Perfection is over-rated. You projected pride and fun. Good for you!Continue to bring passion and joy to this world with your talent! It really is appreciated!
You are a very beautiful young lady. Your fingering and accuracy are good and you have a very delicate touch on the keys. This piece requires a bit more in the way of dynamics - your ff is a little more like mf so you may want to add a bit more intensity at the beginning. While you are playing many of the runs they are very fluid but some of your runs are disjointed from the others like you are playing them in parts instead of chaining them together for a cohesive performance. Overall a very nice job. well done
That's like practising than performing a piece... She did great, that's real, those techniques are great. There's not much people who can play that. But honestly, she would have practise more on the coherency before filming it. She played it like there's a small rest when there shouldn't be any. I think she can practise more on the transitions...
to all these hater comments, she plays amazing, it's not perfect but i like it anyway. She can play this very difficult version! if you think she did a bad job then go do it better
This is a very very difficult piece. What you are hearing is that she is slowing down on parts where her hands have to move greater distances. It takes many years of building muscle memory to allow one to play as quickly as Jarrod Radnich did the original. That being said, I can tell Anida has worked really hard on this. Good Job!! With a little more practice on the parts that you have to slow down on you'll have this piece nailed, I think.
Wow, this is amazing! I'm reading these comments and what they're saying may have some truth to it (about it being a little slow and lack of emotion) but this is a hard piece. I'd like to see them play it! I started taking piano about a year ago and watching awesome covers of this song, such as your own, is very inspiring. What talent. ❤️
The reason why she can't play fast is because her arms aren't big enough, if you notice, it's much easier for men to play such a demanding song hence why they do so. It sounds slow and choppy...
It doesn't have ANYTHING to do with being a woman. There are a bunch of woman on here playing it fast. This girl might be slow(ish) but it's not cause she's a female. There are other chicks on RU-vid that play it perfect.
Yeah I don't like this version.. No hate, she's a great piano player but I feel like this song is suppose to deliver strong fluent notes which she failed to do.. Now I know people will call me "haters" but whatever it's my personal preference.
+Heavenlee S. It takes most of the fun out of it :( That's just a practise thing. Like sure, not hating on her because it is a pretty challenging song. But it's not finished until it's up to speed! And half of the challenge of this piece is just to be accurate when your hands are flying over multi octaves at a fast pace. And if you're gonna sit on the piano, give it hell!
SquerTy I agree so much but nobody understands that there are so many things wrong with it as of now, I believe that it could be way better if there was more passion and a steady tempo
It is a slow version, but to be honest I don't understand why everyone is so negative about it. It's a very hard piece with a lot of dynamics (high vs low) so it's already great as it is. Maybe when you practice an extra few months would it be possible to speed up...
