funny how ross is making a big fuzz about jarvis' clothers when in fact he's the one wearing the weirdest, most awful ensemble ever. and being smug about never having had to buy clothes at oxfam? booh.
Ross is walking ego trip, he's convinced he is wonderful, he was the most awful interviewer and the likes of Parkinson and Wogan were miles better. Even Harty was better, and that's saying something.
O C Neither bright nor knowledgeable, Ross makes cheap jibes at his guests’ expense, but lacks the sense of humour to get away with it i.e. he just seems nasty, BUT... I think you’re wrong about his ego; he’s actually quite insecure. That’s why he tries to put guests down, foolishly hoping he will seem better by comparison. The sad thing is that some folk are gullible enough to fall for media hype about Ross. As we see though, some guests make him bearable!
I though Mr. Cocker did a fine job at subtly bouncing back the host's rude comment, he mentioned how the lame British store the host shops in has colour coded racks.. "red, purple", said Mr. Cocker.. the host himself was wearing purple, it seemed to me that was no accident
Can you explain some of what Jonathan Ross said during the interview? I'm not an English speaker and I have a hard time understanding british English :(
I can understand his comment about the "reedy" sound but he's totally wrong about it being awful! Some of my favourite musical instruments are "reedy".
He doesn't care what other people think about him,and that is cool,he thinks for himself and formulates his own opinions and outlook on life, not like the plastic retards that overwhelm us with crap.
I think 99% of people would have been offended at these rude and inconsiderate questions but Jarvis being able to just roll with it makes him look even more charming and adorable.
Loud annoying people tend to do well on radio and sometimes they move over to TV. I mean look at Chris Evans (not the American actor) his whole career is based around being obnoxious.
Actually, I really like his music pulp are fecking brilliant and as for his voice it is quite reedy and stuff but I quite like it like that. I don't buy their CDs to listen to his face.
He seems one of the most intelligent people to be on TV. I'd love it if he did a "serious" show about something. Him and Brian Cox could be the poster "dads" for floppy haired blokes over 40! A remarkable dude by all accounts.
Aww i remember watching this show with my husband to be in the small flat above the chip shop in Kensal green!!! Roaches on the wall as well!!! Ha ha what a nostalgia!
Ross is trying to be funny, whereas Jarvis is naturally funny. Ross doesn't understand if you just ask Jarvis normal questions and chat to him, his humour comes out without trying.
Yeah I love that one too. Ok, this is my favourite ever TV Jarvis interview! I love it because it's just Jarvis being himself, without putting on a front.
Jonathan Ross asking jarvis, if he likes being a tramp? Jarvis dresses how he likes to dress, i see nothing wrong with it. Why do these celebs think all celebs have to have high fashion? Some of the things jonathen has wore over those years were absurd, and if thats fashion, give us simple clothes Jonathen patronising jarvis, with growing up were you not able to afford clothes, loads of kids growing up in uk did not have rich parents, and grew up with what clothes there parents could afford, and its not something thats funny, it was common for kids of 1980s to be dirt poor, and have parents who could not afford expensive clothes. Pulp was a good band, but jarvis was not really a celebrity Good for jarvis cocker for speaking out against the child molester michael jackson, no one else in music industry had the guts too. That took alot of guts, as michael jackson was someone heavily protected by the american music industry.
Well that depends Most hipsters are okay don't get me wrong But on a Tv show in america They interviewed some hipsters and they made up bands saying they were just not popular and the hipsters said they had heard them It is those pricks that I and alot of other people hate
God, is this just what they call British wit or is the host covertly bullying Mr. Cocker? This host appeared to be doing his best to slide in the biting remarks.
LouisKing995 Yeah mabey if they have moved to Sheffield from some where else but Jarvis was born and bred there. People from Sheffield do NOT talk like this.
Mate listen, he still has the Sheffield tinge to his voice but just a middle class version of it. You get "posh" people everywhere but honestly he doesn't sound that posh, he just sounds like a middle-class northerner
LouisKing995 Im from Huddersfield just up the road from Sheffield. I worked concreting the car parks at the Medowhall Shopping centre for two and a half years. I worked with lads from Sheffield every day and had relatives from Sheffield when I was growin up. I am well aware of how some one from Sheffield sounds and Jarvis does not sound anything like it !
Walt Jabsco I don't care were you worked. I'd be more than willing to bet a million pounds that there are middle class people from Sheffield who sound just like that. Sheffield isn't some exclusive working class fortress. As I said, you get middle class people pretty anywhere
Herty Jansen van Rensburg he has every right to, I’m just curious why he’s wearing second hand clothes if he was rich enough to buy new clothes? I guess it’s his style
I think, at first it was a way to distinguish himself from his contemporaries, than it became a cultural movement: Hobo Chic. He makes it work, it’s an awesome look.
