okay so am i the only person that finds jaskier screaming "you... need a NAP" in response to geralt saying the bit about his singing absolutely hilarious??? it's like talking to a cranky toddler.
@@ismata3274 it kinda sounded like a bit of Russian the way he rolled the R’s but it could very easily just be a made up language they made on the spot like a mix of all sorts of foreign languages
These two are the reason I decided to watch Merlin on Netflix I needed some good ol' bromance after The Witcher's first season ended. I don't regret it
2:39 How was that supposed to work? Jaskier does nothing but sing Gerald’s praises. Gerald has golden Witcher eyes and is wearing his medal. Did Jaskier really think people would assume he was with another Witcher?
Either it's my very low volume on my phone[ because i lost the sound-barely- in my earbuds a few days ago and it's 1:03 am, ..] Or.. That kinda sounded like a familiar voice from something else hmmmmm
Ngl this show made me really love Jaskier/Dandelion. Not like I hated him in the games but he just kind of was this... basic type of character to me so no strong feelings for one way or another. In this show however.... I think he actually might be my favorite character. I guess one major reason is because of Joey Batey's performance. There's something so very likable about him. (Don't really know how Jaskier/Dandelion is in the books. I've read a couple but it was so long ago that I don't really even remember. I meant to read the rest but at the time I started they were not easily available in where I live so I kinda forgot and should re-read everything again when I get back to it.)
I was going to stop watching the series because it was too boring. Then at episode two came Jaskier and lit up the room. I've been watching since to watch him making comedy and make the series lively!!
2:39 we cant have anyone finding out who you actually are...-1 second later-... shit. lets not forget that he's been around decades longer than you lol
I would enjoy Jaskier more if he was played by a better actor. In the Season 2 finale he just cowers under a table while others die saving his life. The actor is one-note with no idea how to do gravitas. Or maybe it's the writers' or producers' fault. "Writers! Your script is too dark and we start filming tomorrow! Spend five minutes on each episode putting in a comic relief!" "No worries, Mr meal ticket man!"
Its not like the actor chose to be 5 minutes under a table, as you said... Its how it was written. I dont know about the books (i will definitely read them, as my interest grow) but in witcher 1 and 2 (games) Dandelion (jaskier anyway) is alot more misterious and knows alot more than the dumbed down version of how it is shown here. I mean, he is a spy for kingdoms, even tho he does spends alot of time in taverns. As in for witcher 3, i am soon play it :D
The most overacting actor pls cancel this dude. His off broadway cheap antics doesn’t suit Henry cavils demeanor. He is not funny. So awkward to watch.
This. Jaskier is appalling. They need to fire the one-note guy playing him and cast a better actor. The only reason Geralt tolerates him is he incredibly manages to help out sometimes in spite of him being a total coward who would get everyone killed if he didn't have such clumsy plot armor. Bad acting, bad writing.
