I love the fact that this had a 2010's vibe to it If it was released back then, this song would be such a hit I literally had this song on loop for a month now since it's so so so good!
Alright, I love this version with Jasmine's voice. Some of my first songs I've heard from Jasmine years ago, were like "Willow", "Friends", "Run" which I really loved, and I always love her voice with something acoustic or piano. I've watched a lot of her covers in my teenage years and I'm glad to see her keep going.
love her voice, always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up ans gives me tingles! such captivating sounds that come her vocal cords, i would love to catch her live in concert, just added one to my bucket list!!
wow. ive been a fan for a very long time and i think this version of funny has shot up way to the top of my favorite songs from you - it has a wonderful combination of the vocal quality that really caught my attention when i first heard your covers and your newer, more powerful and emotional songwriting - both of which i absolutely adore. I feel like i'm going to be listening to this on repeat for quite some time.
Yet another masterpiece, I really can't believe your talent. I've been repeating the song over and over again every day since I first heard it. I need to hear it again. By the way, Jasmine if you read this you know that i love u and your songs. 🌻🌻🌻
i’ve been obsessed with this song and now the stripped version 👏🏼 the regular version has been playing on the apple music pop music playlists a lotttt 🥳
[Verse 1] The curtains are closed now, nothin' to see But a dozen dying roses at our feet Your timin' is perfect, ironic to me Showin' up the moment that you shouldn't be, oh [Pre-Chorus] Last time I checked You're the one that left Last words you said That you couldn't care less [Chorus] It's funny how you miss meMore than you could ever love me How you couldn't give me everything And now you want it from me Yeah, it's funny how it's different Now that I got somebody Yeah, it's funny (Yeah, it's funny) Ooh [Post-Chorus] Yeah, it's funny, funny, funny Couldn't answer, answer, answer 'Cause his lips are, lips are, lips are Both my hands are on his body Yeah, it's funny how it's different Now that I got somebody Yeah, it's funny (Yeah, it's funny) Ooh [Verse 2] Sendin' a message through mutual friends It's like I'm talkin' to you usin' them You heard I was happy and I heard you're not (Na-na) I guess freedom didn't free you like you thought, ah [Pre-Chorus] Last time I checked (Last time I checked) You're the one that left Last words you said (Last words) That you couldn't care less (Ooh) [Chorus] It's funny how you miss meMore than you could ever love me How you couldn't give me everything And now you want it from me Yeah, it's funny how it's different Now that I got somebody Yeah, it's funny (Yeah, it's funny) Ooh [Post-Chorus] Yeah, it's funny, funny, funny Couldn't answer, answer, answer 'Cause his lips are, lips are, lips are Both my hands are on his body Yeah, it's funny how it's different Now that I got somebody Yeah, it's funny (Yeah, it's funny) Ooh
This one reminds me of the acoustic version of clarity (i'm not saying that this is not something original). It brings back so sad memories, but always knowing it is for good.
Anxty I assume it was a Zedd demo before he did his vocal cut edits. In his lyric video description he has the lyrics in it, but it was this version of it (with the outro being the bridge, the final chorus being every chorus, etc.) It could also be just the first demo from Jasmine that she sent to him
