I work as a deputy sheriff and we have a couple small towns in my county that don't have a town cop. One night I responded to call of a drunk man trying to break into his ex-girlfriends house. Long story short, I ended up getting in a fight with the suspect on the side of the road at 1 a.m. and the suspect tried to take my gun. A lifted truck just happened to be driving by when they suddenly stopped and three guys got out and pinned the suspect down while I cuffed him. Then, they just hopped in their truck and left. No one needed to document the incident on camera. They didn't have to think about what was the right thing to do. They saw a need and met it. Love my community.

@@Nick-yv1wyI can’t speak for everyone, but police brutality, protesting, and rioting do not exist in my town. As a matter of fact, where I live is the only place I have ever experienced officers/deputies assist motorists with car problems on the side of the road, or at least stop to make sure the person is ok. Every where else I have been, I only see officers drive by without a second glance. We care about each other and the community. We take the saying “it takes a village” quite literally around here

@@Angel317537 if protesting doesn’t exist where you live, it’s because either the community widely agrees on what is considered worth protesting or the people who want to protest feel it would not be received well by that community. The idea that police brutality doesn’t exist is just an assumption based on your personal experience with law enforcement. The interactions minorities have in the small towns I’ve lived in were rarely a good ending. Often they’re harassed and less often they’re abused. Additionally, people protest more in cities because there’s more people to make a serious stance rather than a handful of people with signs. I’ve seen small groups of protesters harassed and even chased out of town by police even though they were peaceful and on open sidewalks. Rioting is rare in general.

I guess worst case scenario is that if someone's blindly eating up this stuff, saying "yeah Jason, you're a truthspeaker" it's pretty harmless, but that kind of blind following could turn into who knows what, like believing the 2020 election was a farce and that Trump actually won it. My small town, 900 people, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for a kid with cancer. When the HS Basketball team goes to state, no one is home but the sheriff. The digital sign at the edge of town, literally said, "last to leave, turn off the lights". No better way to raise a family.

Right now she's doing her residency at Duke University Hospital. My older children are sucessful as well, a county prosecutor (Former JAG) and another who is a Major in the Army. I retired early because a small town prepared me for a career in business and I did well. So if you want lets play survivor and see who is really unprepared and sheltered.

I live in a small town in nevada when people tried to come from reno and vegas to do what they call there protesting by smashing up stores and robbing people they were met at the county line with about 500 people armed to the teeth. The whole thing actually ended very peaceful and the people that showed up for the most part acted right.

He also owned a security guard business that he started in 1963. Most of the men in our family are/were in law enforcement and anyone who knew our family knew not to "Try that in our Town." Thank you so much for what you do. I’ve often thought how hard it must be to see people at their personal lowest, and on the worst day of their lives, so often. I think about the things you must have seen. I think about the police officers, firefighters, EMTs, school nurses, ER Physicians, Nurses, etc. - first ones on crime scenes; taking care of a drugged out drunk person’s injuries, while the family his recklessness just killed are in the next room; seeing hungry and neglected children. In the city, when there is a car accident, most people keep driving, 1 or 2 might stop to call 911, the other week there was an accident on our small town main street, EVERY CAR stopped to help, within minutes, the volunteer paramedics were on site... We have a town square were anyone can protest or demonstrate and we have our fair share of liberal idiots, but we do all of this peacefully. In the end, we still talk to each other even if we disagree on some particular points. Small towns are where real Americans live.

Not my style of music but fully support the message of this song and would rather see music like this topping the charts than half naked twerking and the advocation of violence, drugs, crime and promiscuity that’s in every single song released these days. We have a very similar attitude to the lyrics of this song where I’m from in the north of England in a small working class town and we are getting similar happenings in this country too. I will not just stand for it when it comes to my home. I’ll dig my heels in the ground and give blood if I have to. The Midwest and the south of the US are very similar in mindset to us in the north of England. Tough, salt of the earth, hardworking, loyal, all about family, lots of common sense and not people to be messed with. Lots of love from your brother across the pond! ❤🇬🇧🇺🇸

It has to do with people hurting other people, disrespecting police, who, the majority are good, and only trying to protect society from wrongs and evil. It would be really nice if we could all live in peace, and get through this life as loving caring human beings. He's not wrong - when a 25-year-old police officer was killed in the small town he was a part of, it was amazing to see everyone show up for his funeral, and they're still taking care of his widow and the son born a few weeks after the officer's death.

I grew up in a small town of 3400 people. And we always helped each other no matter what. Wd never had to worry about any of the disgusting behavior you see on tv. American flags flew high at every dairy farm. More tractors on road than cars. We were raised to say thank you , believe in god, say yes sir , yes, mam, to respect our elders and learned that if you wanted things you had to work. hard. The world i grew up in seems to be fading away abd its heart breaking to see whats happening around us.

The video was filmed in Maury County, Tennessee, known for the 1927 lynching of 18-year black man, Henry Choate. Either Jason stands with the majority, never challenging or questioning the status quo, or his team never even bothered to read up in the town’s history. Also Jason during the Vegas shooting started by Stephen Paddock. A clear contrast to the persona he puts on. To be fair, Paddock was extremely dangerous, so running was the smart choice. Also, Jason never lived in a small town. Born in Macon, Georgia - population 157 thousand, then moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Y’know, the CAPITAL. People have genuine reasons to be mad. Besides don’t hail small towns as the bastions of goodness. Look at the example I just gave you. Sure they can be safer, but nighttime burglars can be replaced with an innocuous man with only hate in his heart.
