Great video again. Amazing when you think when it was small bales we went at a snails pace. Might be hard to persuade wes to change to a fastrac when with loving his johm deeres lol. I reckon we are just over half of the straw we had last year fortunately we are carrying some left from last year. All our crops safely in combine cleaned. Some not so good weights. But like you say john it is what it is. Regards to the family and crew
Morning Bob, Not a lot of straw this year I think we have a third of our contracts . i have finished combining Wednesday .60 acres of peas not worth cutting full of rubbish .beans 12 ton of 60 acres my winter wheat was 2.5 per acres spring wheat was 2 . Busy ploughing now. My boys are well i hope your all fit and well Bob . This is very much a grin and bear it year for me . My silver lining is according to Edy my accountant it's a good year to get Devorsed . You have got to smile haven't you You take care Bob
This is its 4 th season like to get 2 more out off it .going twice the speed the baler gets half the wear it's all about moving parts . the field is nice and smooth baler is not getting bashed about .And we are cleaning up good . proper job |
Good Video but you don't want blow somthing but there ain't many Tractors that the Fastrak is better then these days. The competitors are going to be taking over soon!
@Sam Maher 100% agree and its not like they didn't have to put alot of that baler together and I agree it's cringe worthy and you hear of things blowing up and fire taking over and goodbye Baler and Goodbye Tractor. If my lad did that for sake of RU-vid Vid but I know he wouldn't do it because of respect!
@Sam Maher not being funny but the boss himself is filming it so must be happy with the driving. I totally agree with you, it's a false economy working like that.
@Sam Maher I would rather he covered the ground quickly in half the time . balers are about moving parts i would rather put 2 hours wear on it rather than 4 .Ground condition we perfect and he was doing a clean job . We have about 25 to 30 acres in rows getting wet . my competition has 100 of acres on the deck . Stopping farmers from doing cultivation . Hes worked that baler 5 seasons the tractor has 8.000 Hrs on it the prooth is in the pudding my friend . Your old john'y quire could not keep that pace up for 8000 Hrs
I do have respect for all our machinery machinery that tractor and baler is blown down and greased everyday to prevent fire etc. I going fast because the ground smooth and there’s rain coming if I hadn’t of been so quick the straw would have got wet I know my baker ive had it from new and been driving it for 5 years now so I know it pretty well the packer would speak no matter the speed it still turns the same speed what speed I do and just wouldn’t effect. I respect all our machinery and do care about how much repairs cost because one day I hope it to be my farm and my money so don’t say I disrespect my family farms machinery!
