Png, congrats..though batis has many nrl players, and many of them are physically fit, you have done a great job in their soil, but after all, we are melanesian brothers!
The Coaching of Jason Demetriou definitely showed. PNG usually are very aggressive but this game they played with a lot of professionalism and Discipline. This is just their first match with JD and they are bound to only get better once guys like Justin Olam and Edwin Ipape come back. the world cup will be interesting to see PNG go against the top nations
Although PNG had a very short time in preparation for the Fiji home game, I'll put it back to experience. Although PNG won, there is still good room for more bonding and add more aggression into it's future games. Good luck and nice win. GO KUMULS!!!!! Regards from Bougainville Island. ❤😂
Credit to the Coach Jason Demetriou who had a pretty hard week coming into this role and i see the players really putting on show a welled game plan.. Thank you. One of the best ever PNG Kumuls highlights right on...
When Coates decided to represent the kangaroos, there were loads of disgusting comments on social media from the nationals saying the Kumuls should not pick mix race players. To all those primitive village idiots, if it wasn’t for the mix race or whites that have represented PNG, they would not have seen the success they have seen in the last 10 years. So please.. pasim has blo yu na stap isi..
Rugby league in Melanesia is most important thing.. If png joins the NRL than we'll definitely be selecting experience players from our Melanesian, and other pacific island family especially Fiji. We need each other to create history for us
You're absolutely right, we can say whatever negativity but in reality we are bound to be one Melanesian family let's be proud of ourselves every game has a winner and a looser🇵🇬🇫🇯🇸🇧🇻🇺🇳🇨
That's if FNRL is keen on it with PNGNRL, but nah you PNGians are more deserving of it to have your own team without the need for Fijians or other islanders when it's your national sport anyways.
Batis looked great on paper and experts tipped Fiji to come home but the kumuls won. Free flowing type of football and the defensive efforts outclassed the batis.
JD! among all the International coaching So far, I see there something different about you. What you Will offer to PNG i believe Will bring PNG to be very competitive at International level. You Will earn all PNG respect
Congratulations Coach and Cpt! This clarity and intervention from your professional experiences to improve our brand of footy - Passion, physicality, free flowing creativity, indeed needs discipline in process and tactics…coach Jason, sir… The great Fijian coach Ben Ryan saw and respected a rugby style in the Fijians and crafted plays around it ….and the rest is history….the Kumuls are yet to find our ‘Ben Ryan’ equivalent - may it be under your tenure!
Thanks PNG boys!👍 You have proof to the world that you can do it. Fiji was included with many NRL players but you just outclassed them. Keep it up KUMULS.
Even kumuls won ,they need to fix thier game plan around the ruck. We need speed and power to match kangaroos and kiwis. Also kumuls tend to protect the scoreboard and lag off in the dying minutes and that is were they give away games.. Go Kumuls
Those commentatos who tipped Fiji to come home with sll their NRL power players should dwallow their own words. To the Coach n our ACE Goal kicker and Captainl, Ryse Martin, You have done us proud. Continue to shine at the international level. PNG Kumuls all the way.
Apparently the bookies have a knack for tipping Fiji everytime they play PNG, I guess they didn't bother about the series history where the Kumuls have always had the wood over the Bati and it showed.
The Kumuls played with pride and dedication through it all as a Team. Even though they were written off 10 - 2 by the Aussie TAB betting agencies and the so called NRL, Commentators, they played with pride. Thank you to our Fijian brothers for helping in strengthening the game of rugby league.
Pretty good game from the highlights. Nice style of play and coach did really well in his game-plan and selection especially in a shorter timeframe. Nene probably should stay at fullback😅
We were lucky to receive these balls from off Villiami resulting in a couple of tries. He won't be as generous the next time we meet again. It was a good game for the boys and the coach though
PNG Kumuls have the skills and expertise in playing rugby however our players have been overlooked. We have more Pacific island Countries playing in NRL unlike PNG. Therefore you will only see Kumul players in English Super league coz they believe in our boys. Last night match against Fiji clearly indicate their great performances despite Fiji dominated by NRL stars. It's time now NRL clubs had to see our Kumuls.
That's when you know for sure they've been doing some things that should have never been restricted or censored in the first place. Because where's the fun in that? Even I couldn't be bothered to put on a blindfold because that's too much work on my part.
Look... We know PNG can beat these sort of nations but..in all seriousness we need to focus on beating NZ, Tonga, Aus & Eng.. Beat any of those nations, and we will have somewhat improved.
Fiji played with Tongan girls before the game so they kind of lost their mind on the field. For Aussie made Kumuls they took advantage of every opportunity they had to outscore them. Overall both teams played soft without much aggressive hitups or Tackles. They can't play like that with Super teams like Kiwis or Kangaroos.
