He is very talented and gifted. Over the years watching your shows that Jason would attend you could see the love and pride ooze from you. I love his singing but not as much as yours 😁. Sorry Jason!
"Barbra Streisand" of all people is praising her son in a very poorly written comment on RU-vid that makes her sound like a narcissistic jackass?? As P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

Something to be said about Barbra as a mother: she loved her son unconditionally. Many don't have that. Every concert, she always mentions her son Jason. Such pride and love there.
As long as I was a fan, darling Miss Streisand never, ever, mentioned her son. She was an actress for awhile. She had the gift of pulling wool over people's eyes. You don't become an international recording artist, a Broadway star, and a movie star, being nice. She was an actress. That mother schtick was just hot air used to soften her edges, when she got older. She was notorious for her stage fright, and did not do concerts for many, many, decades. That Mommie, Dearest stuff was only added when she did that very, very, very expensive come-back tour. That's when she became a "doting" mother.
She was so proud of her son, she made him an extra in her movies. On one set, when she was everything including the director (vanity production X ten), she called out with her loud microphone to the cast and crew, "Come on Jason. Stop being such a fag." Loving mother? Puke!
@@sewgatormomm I'm on Team @jack. The more that was revealed about some of Barbra's nasty habits (don't look directly at her, for one), the more she incorporated Jason into her schtick. She's hardly the only one. Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, Jerry Lewis, and really going back, Bing Crosby and Joan Crawford, were awful parents but used their kids to impart a wholesome quality to their images. But, of course, anyone who doesn't see things your way is being untruthful and malicious.
I'm taken back by his candor, earthiness, honesty and character. His talent seems a natural outcropping of his own investment instead of the expectations of others. The subtlety of his control is beautiful and his natural gentleness comes through in his song. Every singer has an imbedded character, Judy Garland had a tangible fragility, Bernadette Peters has a natural sexuality, Mel Torme had quiet confidence and Jason has a gentle but powerful heart. If there is anything surprising here it is the few number of people who are aware of this video or his music.

Jason, I love your voice. You are a great artist. Can't wait wait to hear more of your albums. Your voice is so so soothing. Please keep making beautiful music.
Jason is obviously incredibly talented, gorgeous voice but what impresses me even more about him while listening to this interview is what a lovely person he is, he exudes such kindness and loving energy.❤💚❤️
What a gorgeous, voice, Jason, and what an amazing duet you did with your mother...and you're speaking about death...such a thoughtful and important topic. What a lovely interview.
Jason Gould….you are so special!! I love this interview. I’ve been a fan of yours for years. You were fantastic in The Princeof Tides…and now, listen to your singing! Your parents must be so proud. For 55 years I was blessed with a busy studio singing career….so I can appreciate what a gift music is. God bless you. Diana Lee
He was born with a kind of tough assignment - and you cannot pick your parentage. But he navigates it with a gracious manner, his own personality, and self-awareness. Most appealing. And those attributes make him the individual that he is...
Oh my goodness…….Mr. Jason Gould, you gave me chills. Not just small “goosies” either. Absolutely Brilliant. Please keep singing. Now I am off to find your music ASAP💫
I've watched Jason blossom, professionally, since 'The Prince of Tides'. He's an amazing artist and you are justified to be so very proud of all he is. Much love to you both.
And was he ever handsome in Prince of Tides.!! Still is, I named my son Jason after I heard Barbra has a son named Jason. That was 41 years ago I had a son. Yes, I'm that old. 😉
Jason is humble and so refreshing to listen to. He has a soothing presence as if you could sit down with him and he would get you. Great guy. Wonderful voice.
I understand not wanting to be a public person, but so happy you give us glimpses of you. Great music, such talent. Your mother has every right to be the proud mom.
Many children of celebrities end up messing up in their lives. Jason reflects well on both his parents. More than being talented, he is well adjusted and emotionally mature. Kudos to Ms. Streisand and Mr. Gould.
I have been a follower of Barbra since seeing her on Broadway in 1st show. She should be so VERY PROUD of Jason and his wonderful voice! I will now follow him. Be a wonderful LOVING FAMILY.
For years people would come up to me and ask me if I was Jason Gould and I would say no and then they wouldn’t believe me! I didn’t know much about you except that you were the son of Barbra and Elliot. It is so refreshing to see what a well rounded, talented and grounded individual you have become, in you own right. I’m sure it must have been tuff to grow up in the lime light. Years later, I would see you out but was too shy to come up and tell you this…oh, and by the way my Mother’s name is Barbara too! Thanks for doing this interview Jason~
Jason quit hiding yourself and sing! You have a beautiful gift,it would be sad for you to keep it to yourself. I would have loved to have what you have, please continue to sing, don't let it go! Don't let your shyness and insecurities or whatever it is keep you hidden from the world. Embrace your gift. The world is missing you. We need good talented people like yourself, there's alot of fakes out there, that think they can sing. We need you! 🤗 I've realized it was your moms birthday not too long ago, I like to say " Happy 80th Birthday Barbra " ,she's my 1#favorite singer! Many more Happy Birthdays to her! 🎂 🎈 🍾 🥂
Jason! You don't have to think about living up to anything. You have gone above and beyond. Your voice is EPIC.....my goodness! Just WOW! U R a beautiful man and God has blessed you with an amazing talent. Please ....I hope U keep on singing. Don't deprive us of such a beautiful gift😍
He is so talented and humble ! Tonight i was kind of nostalgic so i searched for my two favorite songs of Barbra to sing my lungs out and a few tears and clics later here i am... What a great surprise to discover him. My mom would have loved this wonderfull duet 😊
Dear Mister Gould, I love your voice, your music , your personal interpretation ! Whatever people like this or not , you have already won .... You are yourself at last ! Friendly, Sophie.
He should do television, he is very photogenic and well articulated…like a classical music review show or something like that….even radio, he is sophisticated….
The first time I heard "How Deep Is The Ocean", I thought, my God, this man has a fantastic voice. And now, judging from this interview, what a wonderful friend you must be to anyone who knows you. I know how proud of you your mother must be...And it's well deserved! Whenever I hear "How Deep..." I always think of my own Mother, who passed in 2006. There are so many times I still think of her, and it's not the big things that mean so much, but the smallest, simplest, sweetest things that I remember about her that bring out my deepest feelings. And that song says it all! Thank you so much for just being you! Take care.
You are so right about death, so many fear it because of the unknown. I embrace it to meet my maker and to ask questions , a lot of them lol. I’m Jewish too but I embrace the Tora with life and love just like mom made Yentle that was my fav movie your mom did.
Jason you are so blessed to have been born to a Beautiful, Natural Singing Artist, Doting, Loving & Supportive Mother such as one & only Legendary Barbra Streisand ❤🌹🥰. You will definitely make her proud 👏.
Dear Jason, I just wanted to let you know how your first EP released in 2012 has helped me through a rough time. I had bought it at your mother's concert in Montréal on October 15th 2012 and couldn't stop listening to it, especially to the song HELLO. I loved its music, the arrangements and the atmosphere of it...not really focusing on the lyrics...until a month later when my brother committed suicide. At the moment, the words hit me like thunder, talking about the death of someone you didn't have the chance to say good-bye to. I must have listened to that song hundreds of time 'cause it was really describing what I was going through. It really helped me release all the emotions I was feeling during that dark time. I especially liked the bridge part of the song : "I'll meet you where the stars And the sun run out of sky Where the mem'ries of our lives collide Where the time will run away Where the moment never dies Forever you and I" That really connected me with my brother. So thank you very much to have dared offering a song approaching the theme of "death" which, like you said, will be something we'll all have to deal with at some point in our lives. I'm looking forward to listening to your DARK GREY SKIES album and DANGEROUS MAN which I didn't know had been an album following your first EP. So thank you again !
Wow! Just Wow! This interview shows a person who has so much to offer the world as a human being. His voice is wonderful, but I am touched by the person I see in the interview. To be so totally authentic as a person is so rare. I'm excited to listen to his music and learn more about the person he is. Thank you for a great interview.
BOTH Parents are talents, I have followed them over the years. Now, I have a third family member on my list. I do apprieated your voice. Thank you for sharing it with the world.
Jason, you keep comparing yourself to others. Don't do it! You have a great talent all your own so be proud and thankful for what you have been given to share with the world. Just remember it is all YOURS and no one else's. Now go forth and SING!
I like his style. It’s good music. I also like that he likes to talk about spiritual, mystical things, like what’s on the other side. He’s a very open person.
Jason your album is wonderful ...I love your voice and the songs are beautiful....the music is just amazing.....you are blessed to have worked this album with quincy jones...your mother I am sure is so proud of you.....I watched this interview....it moved me about what you said...We are born to Die...we go back to GOD...I HOPE AND PRAY TO BE WITH GOD FOR ETERNITY.....BECAUSE THERE IS A NEW LIFE BEYOND THIS ONE .....ETERNITY....JUST ENJOYED YOUR INTERVIEW AND THE MUSIC....STAY SAFE GOD BLESS.......WITH LOVE......
Jason, you have a gift. just like your mother. The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. And you are so blessed to have a mother who loves you unconditionally.
I get the same "OH, yes!" thrill down my spine hearing his softened resolve at the end of a phrase as he romances the song with his gentle manly voice as I have always had listening to Barbra's voice advocating for the feminine experience.
Hello Gorgeous! As Barbra would say. No surprise as he was a beautiful child. My gosh he has a beautiful voice. Talent in his own right..I remember him in The Prince of Tides…fabulous movie. True though Barbra, your son is absolutely gorgeous, smart and talented. ❤️❤️
I had no idea that Jason Gould could sing before a few years ago. Man, I wish he had shared his gift with us a long time ago. If I could sing like that, you wouldn't be able to shut me up!
