These solos aren't fast nonsense widdly-widdlies. They actually have a melody to them and a solid structure as well. The technique is amazing! I should learn some of these as well
For a shredder playing in baritone tuning, jason can kill it, very clean, its hard to stay clean picjing on on hot pickups, they amplify every mistake. Great job jason.lots of hours logged in behind the axe.
@@markustheguitarist nope, not on his esp, Jason used D standard he told me himself at a meet and great, you should know by the tone that sounds too high pitch for drop B in the video.
Jason is such a great player..he's got excellent vibrato and everything he plays is clean, melodic and very appealing to the ears. I could personally listen to the guy play all day.. Cheers dude!
I like the earlier takes. Later ones start sounding like exercises. Incredible how you can get started so fast though. I always need a couple of measures to get ready before a take. Great playing.
Just looking back can't believe this is Jason recording a solo for wrecking ball fucking love you Jason my inspiration I practice everyday just to one day become just like you or better🤘🙌🔥🔥👿❤️
Yeah, all of the band members prefer the second volume over the first. They also said that if they only released one album, most of the songs from the second would be on that one album. So yeah, it is going to be sick as fuck!
love the initial thoughts and ideas of how as musicians we write, personally I just go ahead and improvise the whole thing instead of writing it down. much more fun and raw. Jason is a great guitar player.
Jay's one talented guitarist. And it's nice to see him paying homage (I suppose?) to his roots with that guitar. Lynch and all that. Good stuff, brother.
@@theunclean243 Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I wonder if that was an Axe FX, Kemper, or maybe an app. I can't imagine he had an amp mic'd up, although that would be awesome.
Volume 2's gonna sound sick as fuck, just by judging the bit of the song he was tracking. But who am I to make speculation based on just one observation? I'll just wait until more information becomes apparent.
Im just wondering what string gauge he uses and if its the same on the Sherman for rhythm and the kami for solos. Also if its B to B tuning on both? Hmm... His sound is low but still fuckin thrashy.
On the Sherman he normally uses .70-.13 and on some of his solos, such as Bad Company, he plays the lead in D standard, hence using the double neck guitar live for that song. I believe this clip is D standard as well.
Austin Moser I mean u don't have to believe me but the elongated deep breath bursts, coupled with the snorts added with jaw/tongue spasms and appearing winded with absolutely no physical activity just are spot in actions, trust me I mean he can do what he wants but he's definitely coked up bub.
