The long awaited return of Jason Lawrence seemed far-fetched just a couple months ago but about 2 weeks ago his return was in full effect. Securing a deal with Phoenix Honda, training at Club MX and confirming his plans to race the AMA Arenacross series in 2024 alongside defending champion Kyle Peters.
Well this whole plan burned down in a jiffy. About a week into training, Lawrence suddenly disappeared from Club MX and stopped posting on social media. Along with that rumors that he and Phoenix Honda got into an argument began swirling. Matt Burkeen then got some insider info at Club confirming that J-Law and Phoenix split up. If you haven't seen the video I did on that go check it out for context.
Well it's been over a week since this news broke and we hadn't heard confirmations from the teams side or Lawrence’s side until this past weekend. Lawrence finally gave an update confirming the separation and gave his side of his story in a short clip. He also gave a lengthy text message full of info to Johnny Hopper which we’ll look at in a bit. Let’s first hear Jason Lawrence's side of this separation.

I want to see him out there again whatever he races. I'm not sure if he got kicked out of classes for misbehavior, I sure did a dozen times. A personality some will appreciate to see again.

Whatever happens, you can be sure there will be lots of drama, troubles, shenanigans and very entertaining. I'm glad I'm not footing the bill, but I hope someone does!

I saw just a broken man. He needs to dig very deep and trust people trying to help him. If not he is done done done. Forever done. Social media is not coming to the rescue. Go fund me either. Your going away. What are you ?

Dude, you came along in the wrong era. You should have been in the late 70s and 80s when motocross was about smoking pot getting drunk and runnin bitches.
