Jason Line was a humble person in drag racing. Jason was in the best class in its hay day with carbs and hood scoops when pro stock was not controlled by the NHRA. NHRA really hurt the class with all the rule changes.

Working at Kieth Black in 1987 and building the first 636ci HEMI was amazing The 6 bolt main cap. the way they would repair those blocks after a blow up and reuse. Now working at TRD for past 28 years and seeing the design and making of blocks is quite amazing the Phase9 NASCAR block was really well done from the start. Great video by you guys!

Another great show guys, thanks! Great to hear Jason talk about the Equal Eight. I was lucky enough to crawl over a tool box in the back of Wayne’s truck in a parking lot in Wendover to take an up close look at it while Jason’s son was doing his bailout test in the dodge. Bonneville is an amazing experience on every level 😎

What’s crazy is that there are hundreds of machinists/engine builders that have the same knowledge, yet have not been given the giant break to be famous. Not taking anything away, but it’s all about who you know and getting a break.

Lack of Speed oh my too funny Jason sorry Lack oops i mean lake. Long live KB not enough is spoke of the Kieth Blacks nor the name dohnovan mountain names in the horsepower game period. Cant help but wonder the results of Jason oil testing, Yall talking about Bonneville hows about the Duo Aardema/Braun record Breaking 1200 H/P 12 cylidr screemer going 267 at el mirage on gas engine not nitro absolute screemer of an garage built incredible engine these 2 ole timers should have there own show theyre 2 real gems that just love Design/ Biuld the right way, The wilkens RY45 engine is truly V-8 hi reving bliss thats the sound i want tohere wen entering heaven, Jason Line in any race car just seems like balance, great interview Jason Line is soon if not now is in the same sentence as the KB- & Donhnavans-and all the great ones

Is it true that NHRA mandated drag racing is losing spectators fast and those still watching whether in situ or via TV are also getting older?FOX sports running the show would indicate this.I get why Top Fuel and Funny Car still have some popularity as what beats nitro but Pro Stockers after Nitro rounds sound like anti climax of sorts.Pro stock as class really hasn t seen any evolution as they are stuck with this weird backwards 500 cid push rod engines only.Just watched some Sick Summer week action and those street cars run circles around Pro Stockers. They all look the same as rules mandate new body styles etc.I even saw some Pro Stock drivers complain how NHRA treats them as some filler class and prepping tracks only for 1000ft to suit nitro cars.I started street racing here in Finland 1991 and in 80 s drag racing was huge in Finland. We had over 10 000 fans just to see our national series races causing our ruling body,FHRA(Finnish Hot Rod Association)to run in some tax problems as they raked in a lot of money. They had 80 000 fans to their annual car shows etc.But they soon killed the popularity and especially super popular street car series. As an example,I went to a national series meet and in class C (under 6 liters) there were 48! small block Mopars alone!Stupid rules and just plain stupidity reduced the series in just couple of years to 8-10 car fields.I raced only local series which retained their popularity albeit FHRA trying to get in on action. In 2002 I won West Coast street cup class D (over 6 liters) with my 1964 Malibu SS with 467 bbc,8-71,8:1 comp, totally street legal here and 100% streetable. It ran 9.624/143 as best and ran those times in 100% street trim. That year we had eight 9 sec cars and about ten 10 sec cars. All this with population of 5.5 million.

@@ldtenenoff Very very well done if you read it all as it was valid only in opening parts about Pro Stock and NHRA.We had a relatively large European pro stock series and still have a much smaller one. Here in Finland we had 8-10 car fields of NHRA bought pro stockers in late 80 s to early 90 s.I loved watching those guys as most guys in street scene dreamed about pro stock style engines as turbo and big blowers were not feasible then.We Finns are known for going broke and all out in motorsports which our many champs testify.

The Brodix HIP aluminum bbc block holds well over 3k no problem and a bit cheaper than these JLine blocks. What is the benefits over a Brodix aluminum bbc block?

@craighills2382 4 weeks and no reply, so I'll keep buying and running Brodix HIP aluminum blocks. The Jline aluminum blocks offer the exact same feature as my aluminum bbc Brodix block from my research, but i hear nothing about the HIP process. I pay $8000 to a family owned business that cast their blocks and heads in-house with American materials (Brodix). These Jline blocks are $10500, and they don't offer the HIP process. My Brodix block we put 3000 rwhp to it and it's got over 300 passes from a procharger combo. My buddy runs an f3x-140 procharger making 3600 rwhp no problem, so there's false info in this video.

Mr. Line keeps talking about getting "new engine builders' out there. I respect that sentiment, but from my experience, no one in the 'industry' will entertain a unique technology that can improve performance right now. I've been turned away so many times, with the knowledge I've learned, I've all but given up. I suspect it's because what I've learned seems too good to be true, and they just don't want to waste their time with me, even though they never say it. I'd really like to show Lake Speed what I can do, and I've left comments on some of his videos, but he never seems to react to them. So, my question is, " How can a 'new guy' get into this industry, without having the opportunity to be a part of the IN CROWD, in order to break into the industry. My most recent contact was with Mr. Wilson, he did respond to my initial email, but he subsequently ignored me when I responded back to him about how the claims I make, actually work. I'm really frustrated, because I know with what I know is a game changer. And Mr. Speed, with his oil channel could be the test bed, to prove to the world what I've learned about combustion.

3250 lb race weight needs 696 hp to run 140 mph. A well built 535 will make over 700 hp at under 6000 rpm. $14k for an aluminum block and $8k for heads? You kind of priced yourself out of the market.
