this is a very useful technique.. as he says trains yourself to sing over the riffs/progression and at the same time registers it in your muscle memory ..

Trying to scat well too, trick is to not hear yourself scat with the music your listening too, unless its you making the music/playing the instrument

I'm pretty sure they're talking about John Mayer Trio. I think Jason is definitely better than John Mayer. He has much better lyrics and more flow, with the much better voice than when mayer does pop when he does blues....its anyones game
