Only Mraz...can do this...one man band..imagine trying to sing to this with no best or tempo behind you. ? Fucked ng amazing ..guitar playing and lyrics..best ever and I've seen over 60 concerts and I'm ,63... From NH .he plays in my little home town I grew in, Gilford NH @ Bank Nzh Pavilion, out doors venue..could it get better ? Noooooooooo ♥️🤸💚☮️
These people sit there and enjoy the music and his voice....without screaming and yelling and spoiling the song/moment for other people. I get tears in my eyes when I hear him sing live. thats my emotion! And I'm sure I'm not the only one!! silent at his concert doesn't mean emotionless, it means breathtaking...that sure is an emotion!
My words need repeating for the one and only Jason Mraz: his masterful performance is the fitting embodiment of his words, lyrics, feelings and emotions, and intentions - his general love to teach, perhaps subliminally, through music and if not, then through deed. He's awesome; he's Jason!!
All these videos from that night are my most favorites. They're all amazing. What I wouldn't give to have been there. He's always amazing but there's something special about that night.
i love this performance! the entire Dachkammer show is fantastic! one of his best to date! ita with @valkish, these videos (especially Dachkammer) are GOLD! thanks for sharing them with us.
i seriously just can't get enough of jason mraz, it really overwhelms me everytime i listen to him like do you think that anyone that had an influence on him when he was little i.e teachers, family, friends etc do you think they knew that he would touch this many lives in such a positive way? it's completely unreal! i will never forget the way he changed my life and some people can call it a teen obsession etc but he reaches out to all ages i dont think i will ever stop listening to him!! :|
In the words of Jason himself, in this video he has absolutely "morph[ed] into the God energy." I crave his peaks moments or climaxes as I like to call them.
this was early 2007. he was preppin for the new albums release, even though there was still a year to go. rotterdam is just as insane as this. i personally think 2007 was mraz's most incredible and hard to believe year.
I prefer the live version of this with the rest of his band. He is definetely the best live singer ever! But i think this particular song needs the rest of the band for the effect.....but he definetely owns the rest of his songs on the guitar by himself!
3) i can't sing a lick, so i do try to use "courtesy" while at concerts to be singing loud enough for people to hear me. that said, you'll have a hard time convincing me that a large crowd singing a song they are all passionate about at the top of their lungs is not one of the more powerful things one can experience. (fyi: i clicked reply to your message, but somehow it keeps putting it in the main feed)
It's not too long ago, I don't think..'cause he did a song from "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things." called "Dynamo of Volition" at this show..so it must have been from sometime since like May of last year.. You make a good point though..I actually think that he is so much better by himself..it's just a more personal kind of vibe 'cause he's the one who wrote all of these songs..and there's more feeling in it when it's just him and his guitar...but still, he's just phenomenal no matter what :)
morningperson: i concede that your arguement about violins is a good one, but a couple points: 1) "everyone here is telling you to change." out of 40 posts, 4 mention the crowds singing. 2) i've listened to this video about 50 times only when i was really trying could i hear anyone singing along. more in next post...
Whatever these people paid for this concert, they got their money's worth.. that's for damn sure.... I mean JM is always awesome, but he just goes off in every single song at this venue... lucky bastards lol
ahh, therein lies the err, heavy1275!the 'smoking gun', as it were... "while at concerts... you'll have a hard time convincing me that a LARGE CROWD singing... is not one of the more powerful things..." THIS ISN'T A LARGE CROWD! and Jason doesn't host a "cookie-cutter" concert(refer to ENC1101 for definition). even with sing-along songs, he still goes off the cuff to freestyle his songs, which further inhibits the audience to just... LISTEN. hence the microphone and speakers.
agreed mary! if you payed to see a violinist, do you bring your own and play it in the crowd??? heavy1275, your lack of courtesy toward this is the exact disease everyone here is telling you to change.
