I've decided to go back and make a few improvements on my Jason part 6 costume. I made this costume over 3 years ago and I thought that being as I've improved on my costume making skills that it would be a great idea to go back and improve my older costumes. I think this one turned out pretty good.

I remember dealing with the ear issue on that hood. There is a trick I've found where if you use a little bit of liquid latex or even some super glue on the back of the ears, you can stick them down but honestly the hood you made looks so much better and looks like it allows for a lot more head motion instead of having to always turn like Michael Keaton's Batman by using your whole body. Really nice job.

You can also put the hockey mask straps over the ears to hold them down, it kind of works as well

Killer as always CS5! I made my hood using a bootleg michael myers mask by taking the hair off cutting the face and spray painting it black.

you can paint the little part of the exposed rubber band a very dark red to make it look like an exposed neck vein

Amazing video been getting bit to make my costume and you save me easy 30 pound on a hood as I had a balaclava and silicone at home plus the spray paint for the machete pouch saved me

Much better. Can I suggest some putty around the eye holes to get rid of the slanted eye look. One stick of epoxy could adjust the eyes of 5 masks. And then smooth them out. Still budget friendly and makes the eyes more accurate. I truly hate the angry eyes on these Chinese blanks lol

Good fuqin job on the hood, infact I have a movie accurate costume from horrorfx (which isn't as expensive as one would think) however I will try out that hood craft you did so much appreciated. Oh and I have the real pouch and belt and sheath so I gotta say your dart pouch is so damn close so great job on that

Did you use the same method of making the hood as you did in the part 7 costume tutorial? Also does it matter if it’s a knitted or polyester (I think) balaclava? How did you put on the ears and the rubber band on the mask?

You bet. sponge cut outs, hot glued to the balaclava then painted silicone over everything :-)

I have my own Jason part 6 costume I'm only missing the machete sheath & I managed to make my dickies Khaki pants look dirty by simply smearing wet mud on my pants using a cloth.
