Jason Polakow's search for the perfect wave for windsurfing has just begun.
This time, he travels to Indonesia for a windsurf adventure like no other.
Jason’s true passion has always been chasing down some of the biggest waves and best surf conditions and he is the only wave-sailor to break away from full-time competition to challenge nature in its most extreme form. In February 2016 he became the first windsurfer to tackle the giant waves at Praia do Norte, near Nazaré, Portugal, saying: “This isn't Maui, You don’t come out here for 20 fun waves. You come out and you feel good if you get one or two unbelievable rides.”

What!! Even the pros crash? It is nice to see the all-time greats portrayed as having some fear and showing some crashes....Quiver busters. I like a little reality Red Bull.

The last time I saw a JP video was ~1995 in a Tarifa's bar, I stopped talking to my girlfriend until the end (shame on me)... 25 years later, the guy is always on the top in skill, level, style, spirit... Respect to forever young JP.

@@jordanherrmann9584 cduando era un adolescente soliamos navegar desde varadero hasta la habana en windsurf, el viaje es mucho mas largo que ir directamente a los cayos creeme. es una locura sin dudas pero con vientos que soplen favorables estamos hablando de un viaje de unas 5 horas... suponiendo que navegues a toda velocidad y solo hagas varias paradas cortas para beber agua

Me too! I lived on Maui in the 90's and would stop at Hookipa on my way home after an awesome sesh at Kuau and have a beer while watching all of those guys shred. Good times.

@@joeblow1942 lucky you. I'm from Ireland and these guys don't come to these cold shores too often despite the incredible swells we get on the west coast. I don't blame them though, it's a bit wetter and colder than they'd be used to. 😀 I have to be content to watch these guys on RU-vid (or VCR back in the 90's).

beautiful waves. I'd probably be awestruck to see them in person. When i think of windsurfing (literally just as of today), i wasn't thinking 8 foot waves hahah but Jason made this look like so much fun if i could get over that.

Windsurfing is not something you just "try." You have to commit to it. First step is sailing from here to there and back, and on the progression goes...

ReWrit Ecclesiasties 1v14 I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, so you might as well go chasing after the wind because as least it is fun at times ReWrit Matthew 14v25 During the night Jesus went out to them walking on the lake...Peter said to him, "What is it like walking on water?" and Jesus replied, "It is quite novel i suppose but i wish i lived 2000 years in the future when there will be windsurfing and kite surfing as i reckon that would be more exciting". What sort of God lets 2000 year go by without telling people how to surf, windsurf, kitesurf, hydrofoil ?
