Mixed martial arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Martial arts training is becoming more popular with it. Over the years, we have seen quite a few famous faces training a form of martial arts. Even some of the United States former presidents practiced mixed martial arts, including Theodore Roosevelt who studied Jiu Jitsu and Judo, and Bill Clinton has trained in Taekwondo. Hollywood has churned out some amazing action films, but through the wire work, computer generated imagery, fast-paced editing, and special effects, it's hard to know which actors are just going through the motions and which actually have some skills to back it up. In this video we are going to take a closer look at two of those famous actors and ask the question, who would win in a streetfight, Jason Statham or Scott Adkins? boyka

@@toddjenest3212 Street flight has no rules. (Someone will get hurt bad or, killed) MMA has limits. Even you put one on yourself by saying 5 rounds. "For charity!"? Give over! These guys are both 'good' (as in honour, not technique) thus, they will not have a reason to do or, cause harm to one another. They are human beings, not pit-animals to wager over!

@@patriotpaladinprime7192 I'm not fan of Affleck but Affleck is actually good actor and stands on nearly 2m hight. Is Affleck good choice for batman NO is Affleck way better actor than Atkins YES. Between those two in fact not so good choices for Batman roles. I would still choose Affleck because of size. But in fact if Affleck acting skills and size are combined with Atkins look and fighting skills that would be good one. Maybe they should merry and get baby and after little Atkfflek grows up, he can play Batman...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jason is my favorite because he is more in my generation, he is exactly my age, which is an inspiration, but I think Scott edges him out in a real fight.

Why? Scott is karate and kickboxing, Jason is purple belt bjj, and we all know how easy it is for someone trained on the ground to take someone down if they haven’t been trained.

@@WarrenKirkpatrick It's not that easy. That was the old days of UFC 1-5. Strikers have learned how to deal with that shit for the most part. Plus I'm not assuming that Scott knows absolutely nothing about grappling.

@@frankwilliams3036 Scott jumps daily from the top of a 10 storey building 🏢 does somersaults 100 times on ground, then gets inside the building and run stairs all the way to terrace and jumps again from the top.... Does this for 50 times daily. Incredible, isn't it?

I love both of these actors, but in terms of an actual street fight, I would go with Adkins on this. It can go either way, but both deserve respect. Also, I think that Adkins is an underrated actor. man deserves more recognition.

Honestly looking at these two amazing athletes, its really hard to tell who would win in a real fight. We can all sit here and speculate, but in the end it could go either way. A lot of people say statham wouldnt last, but never count out the underdog. Either way, they both deserve our respect

I like Jason, but Adkins is the real deal! The 1st Transporter is still my favorite Statham movie. I've also watched about all of Scott's movies. Some better than others, but always plenty of kick ass action! 👍 Surprisingly in Wrath of Man, Jason didn't use much of his martial arts, mostly pulling triggers. 😉

I have 4 martial arts to my credit and believe I can give a valid opinion. I enjoy equally both Jason and Scott. One lucky connecting punch or kick from either can have a serious consequence to ending the fight. Overall I believe Scott has much more experience and would win and win again on re-matches. I hope Scott can have a leading role in a major movie like Jasons’s “The Mechanic.” Both guys are awesome and deserve utmost admiration and respect…

Training for aesthetics and learning a few choreographed moves does not make a fighter by any respectable standard. Both these guys would be taken out by every serious martial artist very easily. Play acting and low intensity training make wimps, not true fighters. They do minimal to no conditioning as this wastes time and as we all know actors time is very expensive, especially two as popular as these. If either went to my mma clubs they would instantly replace the two least skilled fighters at thievery bottom. As a martial artist I'm surprised you can't see this blatantly obvious fact. A life of comfort makes one very weak and soft.

The statement that Jason Statham is "professionally trained" in Wing Chun, etc. is odd. After all, what does "professionally trained" mean? Trained by professionals, I imagine. But isn't almost everyone trained in martial arts trained by a professional (someone who trains people for a living)? Except for a small percentage of people taught by their relatives, or a friend, most people are trained by professional instructors.

For starters.. I may be wrong but I don't think Wing Chun has ranks.... In the case of Martial Arts, Professional Trained means they were taught by a Master, which is a title that is only given to those that have been honored with it by other Masters. Learning Karate at Mr.. Johnson's Dojo down the street isn't considered professionally trained.

Both actors have trained very hard over the years in martial arts and I really enjoy their movies, but I'd have to give Scott Adkins the advantage mainly because of the extra experience he has in different martial arts.

Scott Adkins grew up in England. He discovered martial arts at ten through the local judo club and subsequently learned taekwondo at the age of 14 and kick boxing at the age of 16, with which he obtained the black belt. at 19 years old. He also trains in muay-thai, MMA, jeet kune do, karate, ju-jitsu, krav maga, capoeira, wushu and gymnastics. And Jason Statham is just a former diving champion and he's an actor he's no martial arts expert at all.

Saying he does this art or does that means nothing as does a purple belt in something no one heard about. I like Jason but he is NO martial artist to be talking about. Fair play to him he has made a career in his later days but dont make out he is some Bruce Lee please. Scott Atkins is the real deal. He is the modern Van Damme.

@@joefoley4253 neither either competed like Van Damme either. The amount of styles doesn't always guarantee you a win in a real situation. Only the ones that very effective in real fights like krav maga, Bjj, wing chung, and muay thai. The others are just for competition. I train in Boxing, BJJ, and Muay thai and that alone is a deadly combination.

You need to check your facts! Jiu Jitsu is the misspelling of Jujutsu. Roosevelt never studied and classical Nihon Jujutsu, he studied Kodokan Judo.

Love them both but the 9 years age difference might be a bit much if they fight a clean match, in other words, no manoeuvres that might permanently damage the other… in a street fight to the death however, incredibly close fight. Wouldn’t wanna see that type of fight

The one thing I don't like about these types of vs. Videos is the fact that it's based on the wrong question, which creates controversy. Skill level would be a factor, but it would not be the only factor in the outcome

When two strong fighters stand against each other, until the end of such a meeting absolutely no one can say who will be the winner. The thing is, they are both amazing and if there could be two first places, they would be right there next to each other.

Movies are different than reality, I believe it would either be a tie or the most prepared with the strongest will would win.....I worked as a stuntman in LA but cinematic mastial arts have nothing to do with the real fight.....So both are well trained, but in reality noone can tell.....

Didn’t know kick boxing was an officially recognized martial art but according to the narrator Adkins has a black belt in it and can bench press 225lbs😮

This is a very good match up. They both have many different styles they have learned over the years. They also do their own stunts. They are both fast and accurate. This would be a long fight if it actually happened. I think muscle wise adkins is more powerful. On the other hand statham seems to be faster . They are both very accurate and precise with their styles. So yeah, i really couldnt say, it coukd go either way i think. They are both awesome, in my book. Great movies , actors and martial artists.

Scott Adkins hands down would win in a match between the 2 actors. 28 years doing many different Martial arts. He is perfect for Superman or Batman roles. Only he can kick ass!!

Just wondering when the casuals notice jiu jitsu is a wrestling martial art. Hes not doing grappling... jason is a jiu jitsu trained guy but what hea doing is wing chin kung fu,kick boxing and karate.

How?? he’s trained in kickboxing as an instructor, dabbled in some other martial arts but doesn’t say what level which means if mustn’t be very high, while Jason is a purple belt in bjj.. anyone who has some experience knows how easy it is for a bjj student to take someone down who has limited knowledge.

Van Damme carries a 20-2 record in Karate, is skilled in Muay Thai, knows a thing or two about Kickboxing, and he is a black belt in the art of Shotokan Karate. In other words, he's a legit fighter who knows how to whoop some ass. Not only that, he won the European professional karate association's middleweight championship as a teenager, and also beat the 2nd best karate fighter in the world. So, how about Jason?

Both in their prime I think a draw. Jason probably a bit tougher maybe, while Scott more athletic by a bit. But currently, I would think based on age difference Scott would win.

I think Scott is way more trained. He is training like a pro too, practicly living in the gym. He is fast and his footwork is amazing, i think he would wipe the floor with jason any day.
