@@heartzzforaylahe killed the one of the most beloved titans character anyways soo. But he did create one of the most fire episode (no punchline intended)
I think curren did a great job, but then im not a comic reader (not by choice), so i only know this version of jason and under the redhood version @Tkaylor
Spoiler He killed one of the most beloved character that was built up through so many character development, hank. Im starting to believe that jason deserve it after all hes done
@@cheseisreal woah that was his red Hood ark so chill out with that and Hank wasn't that cool but they hated Jason if I was Jason I would have did it too
@@frozen310 - Middle Eastern looks are considered Caucasian (the reality is that only applies to Iranian/Persian people). So Damien would look very European. The actor here could pull it off though. If the fixed him up with a different hairstyle and clothes. Bruce's age in Titans would are and issue and would make for a confusing chronological order.
This dude plays a good reckless young Jason Todd, but the show goofed up with red hood. Should’ve had red hood appear much later and preferably with an older and beefier actor.
Season 3 red hood was actually pretty solid in earlier episodes of the season. It's when they made red hood a lackey is when Red hood started being a bit mehhh and lacking
Agreed, Red Hood has always been a much beefier, more masculine character as well as older. Jason was never supposed to become red hood right after being resurrected, he was supposed to become red hood like 5 years later when he’s in his 20’s and has trained a lot, this portrayal of red hood was a disservice to his character. But I did think they did good with Robin Jason.
Yeah plus his whole reason for becoming Red Hood was fucking stupid. The whole reason he becomes Red Hood in the comics is because Bruce never avenged his death and that pissed Jason off so much which is understandable. But they literally have Batman kill the Joker in this show after he killed Jason, so there was absolutely no reason for him to even turn of them lmaoo
@@darthdever66 oh my god, yes exactly. I absolutely love teen Titans and was excited for a live action show, but they make just so many bad story decisions it blows my mind. it's okay at times but overall the show makes me cringe more often than it makes me entertained. the whole batman looking for a new recruit being treated as an addiction was an interesting angle but the execution made it seem too soap opera-y. Especially since they were contradicting themselves by setting up the very next robin (Tim) simultaneously. And when he returns with the crowbar saying he killed Joker, I literally was like "Well what's the damn point of Red Hood now??" they just threw the entire point out the window. plus Jason's death at the hands of Joker's silhouette was a pretty pathetic way to go. looked like Joker had as much trouble killing him as he would've a mannequin. the episode with Red Hood appearance and the mask revealing it was Jason was the last episode I watched. I just couldn't continue anymore. Has it gotten any better past that? I stomached the first few seasons of Gotham, so I'm willing to slog through bad beginnings as long as the quality eventually goes up. I just need some assurance the quality actually goes up lmfao
@@yahirnavarrooo I may have been exaggerating when I said it, but let’s see. 😂 (Keep in mind, he’s not suiting up as Batman, he’s just Bruce Wayne) Jon Hamm Josh Brolin Jake Gyllenhal Ben Barnes Oscar Isaac Armie Hammer Nathan Fillion Jason O’mara Kevin Conroy Ben Affleck Michael Keaton
I remember I saw the edit of nightwing with demons imagin dragons, and then when I actually watched the show I found out that was Bruce in the vid, I always thought it was alfred
seeing anyone interact with jason hurts so much, all he's ever wanted to do was make people appreciate him and they keep making he feel worthless, he doesn't deserve it :(
People are complaining about the casting for Bruce but no one ever stop to think about the timeline this show takes place in Dick was 26 at the start of the series but was still robin so it is a bit obvious Bruce was gonna be old
The amount of effort Curran Walters put into his roll is commendable and he did a great job. It’s a shame the show was given shit writing though. Also “suites.”
Bruce looks more like a Comm. Gordon. When I see him, he just doesn’t have that charisma or mystery as Bruce Wayne has…He looks like a guidance consoler.
i've said something similar about Ben Affleck, when i watch him as batman I don't see Bruce Wayne. All i see is Affleck, that is why he is a bad batman as well as this 70 year old guy.
he was a horrible character in this show. jason would NEVER, EVER take drugs. him getting addicted to scarecrow's shit in this show was totally incorrect. although yes, jason in every other universe is broken
God i love red hood, he is the most broken character of all superheroes and reasonably so, it’s so tragic and dark yet gives so much to jason as a concept
This looks like the exact opposite of how Bruce would talk to Jason. Also your telling me this man is still going out as Batman when he looks like as someone else put it, Joe Biden
Imo it makes sense for him to look that old, considering all the shit he was being put through during his career. I mean, nobody knows how much it would stress the body to live the Batman lifestyle, and nobody bothered to explore it within any other Live Action Media, so I think this is a refreshing take
Nope, he was overprotective with Dick Grayson, so protective in fact that Dick Grayson wanted to branch out on his own because he felt like Bruce was smothering him and didn't want to be under Bruce's shadow. With Jason, Bruce was more lax, distant and cold, yet a lot more open to raising a child in what he felt was the right way which was ingraining him with morals, and ethics while providing him a life where he not only could be a stand up citizen, but the eventual protector of Gotham. Bruce was raising his children to be his successors in the case of his eventual death, Dick Grayson didn't want the title and wanted to be something else in which he thought would be better, however Jason initially idolized Batman and Bruce Wayne to the point where as a child he wanted to be just like Bruce. However, when Jason was tortured, molested, and brutalized at the hands of the Joker which resulted in his death. Batman just let the Joker walk free, without punishment, even releasing him from Arkham asylum to continue his rampages. Batman also refused to revived Jason himself, even when he had the opportunity to do so himself due to the fact that he would have to own up to getting a child killed.
Dick was the eldest, who was the golden boy coddled with love and affection. Batman's chosen son, and eventual first successor. Jason was the bastard child, the one shown the least love and affection, abandoned and betrayed not only by Batman but the entire bat family after he went out of his way to avenge them. Officially disqualified from being Batman's successor, Batman after Jason finally kills the Joker, exiles Jason from the Batfamily and from Gotham City for good. Batman later revives the Joker. Later Jason moves out of Gotham (my own head canon he moves to Hub City) to start a family of his own in secret, hiding them from the batfamily out of spite to not let them be anywhere near his personal life. Tim was the normal middle child with no personality traits other than trying to be batman's favorite son whom, everyone forgets about but yearns to be just like his adoptive father. Damian is the youngest , who also is the biological son who's the brattiest of them all but is the one coddled with the most love and affection. Batman's eventual true successor after Dick passes down the mantle.
I didn’t like their casting for Jason Todd, especially because he’s supposed to be much older by the time he becomes Red Hood and looked too young. That said, I actually thought they wrote pre-red hood Jason REALLY well (not red hood though, their writing for him was a disaster). This was a very accurate portrayal of the way Jason was before he was killed and it even breached on an ill discussed topic in the comics- that Jason had a lot of issues due to his traumatic childhood even before he was killed. They did a great job at highlighting Jason’s mental health issues and how they impact him, something the comics are often too afraid to show. I also loved that they actually had Bruce embrace being a father to Dick and Jason, another concept that the comics are often too afraid to show (I don’t think Bruce has ever actually said to either of their faces that they are his sons). Though Titans has many, many flaws and I really despise the show, and for the most part they did Jason very dirty compared to his comic counterpart and completely failed the red hood arc, I have to be honest I really love and respect the way they emphasized Jason’s emotions, instability, trauma, feelings of inadequacy and mental health issues in a realistic and true to the character way, it was very very in character for him and it’s a side of him that most portrayals don’t often show much of. It’s what drew me to his comic counterpart, and I do think that was the one thing they did really well.
I think Jason Todd the actor was good and the writing well if you play batman Arkham knight the Arkham Knight is Jason Todd and becomes red hood at the very end so yeah I think you are wrong
@@funnyvideo-ko5ql I agree the actor is good, I’m talking about the writing, and I’m talking about the comic version of Jason Todd, which is what this performance is based on. He is very different in the original comics than he is in Arkham Knight, you have to know that. And the writing for him while he was Red Hood in THIS show, which is based on his original comic version, was completely inaccurate to his comic version and really a disservice to everything the character was meant to be and stand for in the comics.
Really sad... Bruce didn't want to fight back, he was even stunned when Jason raised his voice multiple times. It's sad what happened with Jason, Joker and Scarecrow in this show. I can't believe this though the casting for Bruce bro... Bro that's bloody Alfred, he was calm like Alfred too. Bruce should've been more how he was in Arkham Knight, more *Jason* "I'm a fucking mistake now!?" Real Bruce would've been like "That's NOT what I said..!"
Wait, TitanVerse Batman killed Joker too? That's GREAT. Batman's code is bullshit, always causes more harm than good. Too bad this is the 3rd time Batman killed Joker *AFTER* he crossed the line. But still, and its great to know this Batman killed Joker with a crowbar.
I definitely respect the actor but this Bruce just reminds me of a retired Math teacher who would stay after school and have real talks with kids that were going through stuff. I get it, he's a retired Batman, the age isn't the issue, I just don't get that feeling of a closed off dark mystery that Bruce usually is.
If bruce knew he would let him be robin Cause he deserves it But bruce lied to him and said he could be robin when he went to leslie but then changed mind
There’s no way this kid becomes the red hood. Because he has a mop on that head. That hair is used to mop floors. They might stick something on his head. Or color his hair red and call him mop head or red mop
Bruce was wrong for that imo. This was 100% Jason's tipping point. Its like, if you can see that he's already struggling, why add onto it? It seems that's all everyone did for the whole show
Fr, and the worst part is that Bruce sent Jason to Dick to help with his recklessness, and Dick sent him back with PTSD and severe anxiety and trust issues as well as a clear desire to prove himself/inferiority complex. Bruce saw this, and didn't take a second to re-evaluate his approach when he took the suit away, especially considering Jason's reaction to it. Bruce made every wrong move, starting with sending him to his former sidekick who took out his anger at Bruce on Jason, and it just got worse from there. Poor kid got locked on the struggle bus going 90.
From the outside looking in I’ve never seen this show and I’m fascinated with this Bruce, is this Batman long after his fighting days are over, if so that’s very interesting and I need more
@@royalehighroyale9621 but he does in th books. I don’t expect him to be 20 forever I just don’t expect him to 120 in his seventies. Especially with his rigorous training dieting and exercise regimen.
I see people saying that they ruined Red Hoods character. Let me remind you that this universe is different so of course things are going to bee different.
Bruce in his 60's don't match the vibes of LITERALLY ANY OTHER BATMAN IN EXISTENCE, man would drop dead against an entire army of militia or the gunshot in the one room
