Divorced, jobless, alone and uncertain of my future. Laid in bed last night talking to the Lord and trying to make sense of 'it' all. Was looking for some new songs to sing as a praise and worship leader in my church and literally stumbled across this song. The lyrics - I held you in my arms last night and I see resurrection in everything you do and just to be called daughter........Daddy loves me. I couldn't move from this song. It broke me. Thank you Jason Upton. I am reminded of who's I am.

Isaiah 61:3 “He gives beauty for ashes.” One day a flower will grow amongst that pile of ashes. It will grow tall and strong, it will be a flower more beautiful than any that had grown on that ground before it. It will be radiant in brightness and color. There is so much we don’t always understand in scripture, but I can tell you I know the pain of divorce and loss and it is so hard, you could only wish you only felt broken, but you know it’s more, it’s to be crushed. You feel spotted and wrinkled and speckled with stains and you wonder how God could ever use you let alone love you, but remember this one thing today. When he says in Revelation 21:11 Her brilliance was like a very valuable stone, like a stone of crystal-clear jasper. Jasper is a brilliantly colored stone of many and varying colors. This stone was said to be Crystal clear (washed in the blood of the Lamb) but this stone is called the speckled and spotted stone. For some reason God has chosen a broken, speckled and spotted bride to make Holy, white, even crystal clear. This pain is burning off more dross and making you, even adorning you for your groom. Be blessed. Hold on, take courage, we will soon see His face.

I don't think anyone realises how much talent it takes to play a two handed instrument using both sides of the brain and sing at the same time. If you notice he has absolutely no musoc in front of him. His eyes are closed and he just feels and receives this music. It is talent straight from God the Almighty who can move mountains with a song. Thank you for sharing this God given talent with us. Jist phenomenal. ❤

There's something so unique about Jason's music.. it's like God whispers lyric into his ear and Jason just sings it out. A melody of healing rain in a dry land. Beautiful.

💞 I’m 70ish now and only recently discovered this 👍 artist’s soothing, peaceful, inspiring, meaningful music. It’s ironic that as I’ve become older, it’s music such as this that I can relate to much MORE than when I would have when younger, listening instead to the popular rock bands and different styles of music. EVERY song he writes and sings a message of hope, healing,, and is thought provoking in some form ✝️☮️💟! So glad to have found him on YT’s recommended algorithm’s list!

My wife and I were fortunate to have been present at one of Jason's sermons a couple years ago, and I've loved his music ever since. This new song couldn't have premiered at a better time for me. With all that's transpired over the past couple years with my oldest daughters, I need to remember what a Blessing it is to be their Father. God's not done with them yet; nor any of us for that matter...

You're singing my life of pain from childhood sexual abuse. I can't stop crying because every word is true. I SHALL BE FREE. I claim it and receive it, and I will not give up to reaching up and grab ahold of his hand. Holding on as He pulls me up out of the darkness. I claim that resurrection no matter what he has me to do. He's protected me since before the beginning of time, and he's done a mighty work in me already, but I started regressing after my 2 best friends died within 11 months of each other. I don't know how to let go of the grief.

Selah has a New song out called “Always Gonna Be”, it talks about our struggles, like when we are in the valley, tears, prayers that we think went unanswered, etc. Then the song REMINDS us that light will keep shining, joy will come, new mercies with the dawn. Jason Uptons' music so anointed...gives me such peace...I have an adult daughter with schizoprenia( MY ANGEL NICOLE)...so diffic I lt to watch her suffer....i no God loves her even more than I do and it hurts Him even more...ppl ask me how do u handle her and how difficult it is...but shes my o so beautiful child and that God gave her to me temporarily....to protect love and care for.....i want her to find peace in Christ like i have!!! O I JUST LOVE HER SO MUCH!!! Its so difficult at times .as her mother to c her suffer and suffer thru her difficult times with her.... Ive been seperated for over 7 years married a woman right out of rehab ( unevenly yoked and alot of other things) we had a child together held on not going to church but maybe a dozen times in 10 years. I was faught ever step of the way on everything i held on with everything i had i thought i was going to convince her to show her a better life convince her to give her heart to Christ. Through it all i raised our daugther to be tough, Lord forgive me was i ever wrong. Now over seven years seperated i had nothing else left i was completely destroyed in everyway you could imagine. Went through a lengthy battle for custody (4 years) God gave me custody . Now 6 years later i have a daughter that hates me, never even had time to grieve my marriage grieve anything. So much i could write but i wont. But hearing this song its been soo many years since i cried i cant remember how many. Its still not all out and gone. But i wanna just openly say thank you to my savior , my Father my everything that through it all He never gave up on me. All along the way He would remind me hey im still here, and i love you. There is NOTHING this world could EVER offer me to walk away from my Jesus. I pray for all of you that hear this song or read this message to reach out, Jesus has never left your side DONT let anything tell you diffrent. I can hear the Father in what you sing and the way you sing it. You have such an incredible gift! I realize you probably wrote this with your own daughter in mind. That’s immediately where my heart and mind went…towards my 15 year old. But then you sung the words, “you’ve been living undercover.” Those are words that Holy Spirit spoke to my heart last year and it quickly turned my heart to the Father…..Thank you for that, Jason.
