Để làm được điều đó, đầu tiên anh phải tìm cho được Bộ Lông Cừu Vàng.Jake đóng một con thuyền lớn đặt tên là Argo, sau đó lựa chọn những thuỷ thủ xuất sắc nhất để lên đường đến Colchis, nơi cất giấu báu vật. Con trai Pelisos, Acostus, cũng tham gia cuộc hành trình và âm mưu phá hoại kế hoạch của Jason lấy bộ lông cừu về cho cha. Với sự giúp đỡ của Hera, nữ hoàng của các vị thần, Jason vượt qua được nhiều chướng ngại vật được gài bẫy trên đường và cứu được Media khỏi biển sâu.

Saw this move at the Jose theater in San Jose ca. My mom would get on the bus and take us down town. It was a memory I will never forget. Miss her so much.and im 69 years old. Still love you mom.

Don't No why but these movies from the 40s/50s/60s and early 70s are better to watch than the computer generated reality ones of today. Maybe it's generational, but quality of characters seem better. Love these movies.

The score by Bernard Herrmann and the stop-motion effects by Ray Harryhausen make this film a standout! This is brilliant! I remember seeing this remarkable film when it premiered in 1963.

1:07:04 "PULL! PULL!! TILL YER HEARTS CRACK, AND YER BACKS BREAK! PULL!! PULL!!!" Probably my favorite part of the whole movie. They were working overtime just to get their ship through, so as not to waste the gift of the gods' mercy.

It takes me back to my childhood my Sister my Brother's and I watched this movie ,I consider the greatest stop action movie ever produced This movie at one was shown regularly on CBS Friday night at the movies . I'm 65 years old this brings back fond memories , we would make a pallet on the floor my Sister would make homemade Pizza . It takes me back , I miss my Sister .

The 1st time i saw Jadon & the Argonauts was '91-'92 on #MonsterVision with Joe Bob Briggs on TNT and it was a decades old classic back then. I saw 1 preview of the skeleton battle & was hooked by the Practical effects. I snuck back downstairs afyer lights out to watch the midnight viewing on Monster Vision & bought the 1st copy i came across. Outstanding & under appreciated. Deep timeless themes, action, romance birth, death, its got everything. GOLDEN age of Film.

Acting was a skill in the past, they speak so well, their intonation perfect the characters believable no need for CGI special effects!

A now lost art.... acting,... and im sure most modern "actors" do try, but they just haven't got what these actors had..... good scripts, and direction.... today, their hearts aren't in it, its just about the money and cgi tries to distract or correct bad acting and "over dubs" for poor actor memories.... Lets face it..... WE WILL NEVER GET FILMS LIKE THIS OF THIS QUALITY EVER AGAIN........ NEVER..... I ASK WHY?......

For those unconvinced by how good stop motion could be, check the sequence where Phineas: the blind seer(played by Patrick Troughton), is attacked by the harpies. There is a pass at the 51:19 mark where a harpie grabs his robe and flies off with it. You honestly can't tell where the live action ends and the animation begins; it's that seamless.

... Yeah I notice that seen every time,.... ... It's so seamless that Ive played rewind 20 times to see how it's done,.. and I think,.....if I'm correct,...but I could be wrong,.... that harryhausen made the harpys interact with a scarf that was in the world of live action being pulled with a rope from above somehow... ... ... It sure does look that way, and I believe it is, what do you guys think...?

I met Ray Harryhausen about 7 years ago at an autograph show in Burbank. I ask him to sign my Talos statue and he refused saying "it wasent his" but i did get a pic with him.

Cory Wong I also met him back in 1989 at a science fiction con in Philadelphia. Ray was waiting in the hallway for his handlers to take him to dinner; and after he signed my copy of a retrospective book of his art we hung out and chatted for about twenty minutes. Just two artists talking shop. What a generous talent and gentle man he was.

A truly magnificent creation in our history. The sounds and the score alone give me goosebumps, there is something extremely grandiose about the score, a larger than life feeling from it, as if we are in fact living in the presence of the great Gods of Greece. Amazing

You are a goddess! SO WHY ARE YOU WHISPERING??? Are you afraid of something or somebody??? I never understood this. You can hardly hear her! A you are supposed to be Hera, queen of the gods. You sure don't act like it. In the movie Clash of the Titans (1981) Thetis sure was not whispering when she spoke in her temple!

I love how the "brains" of the Argonauts thought it was a good idea to fetch an oversized brooch pin in the shadow of a teetering bronze giant when everyone else, including the strongest man in the world, is running away from in mortal fear.

Fair point but those times were more about loyalty and bravery and admiration to kings and demi gods. Hercules was a demi god, and so this little fellow did something in honour to his hero

Jason didn’t behave very heroically when it came to the Argonaut who falls from out of the masthead to his death. Nether when Euphemus was killed. Nor Acastus. Nor Castor and Phalerus Nor towards Hercules departure
