0:57 - 1:11 ... this is why Jason Williams is so fun to watch. In this very one play, he crossed two people... and did his famous elbow pass.. What... a... boss...
+gakman41 Ok check this one, it's not highlights, but Chris Weber's comment about playing with Mike Bibby or J Will. When you listen to this segment of the show Open Court, listen for Shaq's reaction when Weber says Bibby over Williams www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2012/10/10/open-court-oct-16-chris-webber-promo.nba/ too funny
Street ball handling style; and to do it at the highest level, in the pros, is incredible. He is a master with a basketball. Reminds me of those old Nike commercials where pros were just doing freestyle. Enjoyed watching Williams play. One cold dude...
He is still by far one of the most entertaining players I ever watched. Glad to see he still has it especially, the elbow pass. Don't think we will see that in NBA again for a while.
Those Knee Injuries really hurt him his later years, glad to see him still playing the game he loves. Those of you knocking him, he's done with the NBA, he just likes getting out and playing the game! #WhiteChocolate
I was a jr in HS when he dropped the elbow pass at the rookie game. I went out and practiced it off the side of the house for hours until I had it dialed in. I still break it out every once in awhile when I run pickups at the gym. It gets the other 30+ guys talkin about the good old days:)
I don't care if you are black, white or blue but game recognizes game and I always did like Jason williams game, No, he was not the most defensive specialist in the league but pulling a fancy pass from out of his ass was what he did best and he could make the open shot. I am glad to see that he is still playing and not stuck inside of some bottle. Best of Luck white chocolate.
Met this guy in Vegas a long time back "8 or 9 yrs back " when he was in play with NBA and endorsements . He was totally cool had swag and a little cocky but not rude and didn't act like he has to be somewhere like every wannabe player out there . Shakes hands signs autographs and sat and shot the shit with people . Nice dude glad to see he's still out there making people look shook LOL .
pippen is one of the greatest of all time, along with the best shooter of all time and one of the best rebounders of all time, that is a lineup full of guys that were just about the best of all time at something, that speaks volumes to how great the team was. Jordan was regularly guarded by guys either 3-4 inches shorter then him, or challenged athletically.
People looking for the beat, look up Oskar Mike - Suave. I'm part of the Anno Domini Beats production team, I made the beat. Glad you folks are feelin it!
every night. he was great with c-webb and vlade because they were such great passing big men and they really understood how to get to the right spots for him. I wish he could have had a super freak athlete like VC or Marion to run on the break with him though. That would have been fun to watch.
J-Will wuz wanna the best pg's wen he played. Esp in sac. But coaches didnt like his street ball ways. I wuz mad wen they traded 4 mike bibby n sent him to grizzlies.
in fairness Jordan was playing during a time where nobody was there to compete with the bulls. Two of the greatest players of all time in Jordan and Pippen, one of the greatest rebounders of all time in Rodman, and possibly the greatest spot up shooter in Kerr. Jordan was ahead of his time the same way Russell was. The same way Russell wouldn't have stood out today, Jordan wouldn't have stood out as much today either (but would still be right around the top)
Why should they whole country be embarrassed?.... Basketball was created in USA, no? Were supposed to do that......Should I be embarrassed as an American, that the USA didn't even qualify for the World cup this year in soccer? I don't even care, that's not our sport.
he's more exciting to watch than maybe most of today's NBA pointguards... No disrespect to Steve Nash, but I really wish Jason gave it shot with the Lakers
My point about JWil is that it is alright for him to stay overseas he been in the nba and doesn't need to prove anything else. Now the professor yea u are right about the defense but that doesn't mean he cant be able to work on that. With the right mindset and will anybody could become a defensive minded person. The professor could shot and has superb handles. Usually AND1 players have one of the two so thats an improvement from most streetballers not even mentioning his court vision and passing
He's right tho. The Spurs in the early 2000's were ridiculous. For one you had Duncan in his prime when IMO he was the best player in the league, including over Shaq. Manu was also in his prime and you still had Robinson at the tail end of his career and they still haven't found a center to play with Duncan as good as D-Rob was. Their bench was crazy then with Jackson, Kerr, etc... that was a great squad.
