The bow is designed to cut the wave, not let the wave push the bow up. The old Dreadnoughts of WW1 used this scheme. They were incredibly heavy and it worked but in a light fast craft...I don’t know. As far as I know, the only way for a light boat to go fast and smooth in rough water is to have hydrofoils and/or be a catamaran.
Trust me, concept works on light boats too. Maybe even better on light boats as heavier boats tends to go through the waves due to sheer weight alone. I love the consept, but I really HATE the use of slomo! Why , oh why do you have to make a video with slow motion? How do you enter the bow for ankering?
The crew are moving up and down like they're on pogo sticks in the cabin... they're getting hammered. I hope to god they're on suspension seats...that would be exhausting if they weren't 😬
Now lets do a realistic test. Slow down........is what every husband hears from their wives and girlfriends. Specially when they are bouncing around in their seat. I bet that wave piercing bow pierces waves at a slower speed!!!!!
