I do both Java and .Net. So, I can tell from my perspective, If I see 10 openings of Java at every level, counterpart is 1 means .net opening is very less. Doesn't matter what season it is what time it is. At the same time I see .net is picking because of its language and framework goodness. But Java is still the king. its hard to change people and company mindset.
Just check Google trends for a quick insight, Java has twice greater relative demand of C# and C++ in most places. Pretty obvious. Check the RU-vid filter on Trends as well. Hint C# is best to look up as "C sharp" and then choose the one that is the "programming language" and not just a "search term" 🤓
This is true but it depends on your country. USA atm tends to prefer .net core over java, C# because Microsoft, and things like mern (node js) and python for more rapid development. If you're around india or spain, or towards the Netherlands, java is still king
That’s odd. I applied to and interviewed to 5-6 different Java positions this year in Texas. I landed one in April and have been happily working with Java past 9 months.
