how to change the color of progress bar? I tried searching in google but I can't do it like other componants in netbeans but when i tried a splash screen query in main args[ ] the color of the progress bar was the one i gave in properties but in normal executions it does not work it is like what I do in main is different from what output is from shift+f6 if i modify the query a little bit then the after the splash screen is executed and jumped to the same output but a shift+f6 output please help me and fast

I'm curious. Is there any way of making this progress bar continuously update based on the progress of a csv/txt file being read in or read into a GUI?

Gottlieb Uahengo I'm curious too. :D I've tried many ways to do that, but it seems that you can't see jprogressbar continuously updating. It just shows final value when reading of csv file is finished.

Yeah, it seems the likely outcome. I worked around this by "counting" (listening) the number of bits transfered instead. The downside to this, is that, if its a small file, there's really not difference.

make a progress okbutton with setVisible(false) ... start a new thread with ...okButton.doClick()..
