Thank you very much. I delete the Netbeans Cache and User Directory. I found these under Help --> About. Once deleted I started my computer again and reopened Netbeans.

Hi! I have a question. I tried to modify the "Fightning" code from your example by adding a loop while either the character's or monster's HP is different than 0, but I don't know how to make the remaining HP from the first fight counts for the consecutive fights (ex: if the first fight I got attacked and 90 HP remained from 100, the damage from the next battle will be taken from 90 and not 100). Help me guys, while I was in the process of following the video, my thing that pops up to indicate where I'm typing changed into this block that replaces the letters it highlights with my mouse :( it is annoying me, please help

Greatr, wonderful beginner course. Awesome! One style question. Is their preferred way to name the Scanner class? my textbook used "keyboard" and I know you could name it "jalopy" or anything, but is their a preferred way? Second, why do you define your variables as you write them? Isn't it easier and more readable to define the variables in a field at the top?

Hi Geoffrey, The name of a variable is to identify the thing it contains. It has to be easy to understand. For me and Scanner it is sc. If you prefer something else, you can choose it as you wish. If you define your variables at the top, you may have to scroll back and forth from the code you are reading to the type of the variable while you are trying to understand a code. It's a principle to declare variable as you write the code: it will be as close to the usage point as possible.

Is it important regularity in example with wine glasses??? I mean then you write code you start line with last "word" from previous line???? Help me! :)

Of course a program is not a verse, so there is no such rule to start a line with the ending of the previous. I suggest you to watch the videos of the whole course several times - hopefully it will be clearer how to build a program.

Would you make a video on how to build & run an applet using netbeans please ? Also is it possible to import an applet created using a previous version of the jdk (for example: j2sdk1.4.2_04) and run it with netbeans 8 ?

Java is _mostly_ backward compatible, so there is a good chance that it will work for you. Try it.
