@@justwildan3963 Pocket edition was a port only for mobile, bedrock came as a version with crossplay, They did reused biggest part of Pocket Edition Code, but they did rewrite some things too! Is a really similar version but not the same.
@@NSK_Alves Bedrock IS Pocket Edition. It's not a mobile port, but the game was remade with a different engine for phones, Pocket Edition was later on ported over to Windows 10 PCs under the name of "Windows 10 Edition", after that came the console ports and the game was renamed to "Bedrock edition" on all platforms as it's the same game with crossplay. Pocket Edition became Bedrock Edition.
Something I recently learned while playing on a Java server is that sugarcane can't be grown with bonemeal and in Java you can't swim across an ocean at the perfect level to not drown like in bedrock
Indeed, there are some gameplay differences between Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, and you've pointed out a couple of them. 1. **Growth of Sugarcane:** - In Minecraft Java Edition, sugarcane cannot be grown instantly using bonemeal. Instead, it requires time to grow naturally. In contrast, in Bedrock Edition, you can use bonemeal to accelerate the growth of sugarcane. 2. **Swimming Mechanics:** - The swimming mechanics can vary between the two editions. In Bedrock Edition, players can swim at the water's surface by holding the jump key, allowing them to travel across bodies of water without constantly bobbing up and down. In Java Edition, players need to continually jump while in water to avoid drowning. These differences arise from the separate development paths and codebases of the two editions. While they share many similarities, there are subtle gameplay distinctions that players may notice depending on the version they are playing. It's always interesting to discover and adapt to these differences, especially if you play Minecraft on different platforms or editions. If you have any more questions or if there's anything else you'd like to know about Minecraft, feel free to ask!
@@plethoraetora8411 Besides, this comment is already a year old, and that was supposed to be ironic, it's incredible how people portray everything based on reality
Fun fact: the only difference between bedrock and pocket are the sounds, in 1.19 or 1.20 (I don’t remember) bedrock edition has started using the same sounds as Java.
@@TheDerpyDreamYTin 2023 i still remember that I was in Acacia Biome with Lighting Whether Lightning strucked near me then a Group of Skeletons Riding a Skeleton Horse spawned So I was very lucky
Yo zFazT, when making these Comperisons, make sure that Pocket uses version 1.1.7 the last update of THE Pocket Edition becoming Bedrock edition as shown here on this video, cause the pocket here is just mobile Bedrock, not the original mobile exclusive pocket edition! Hope that helps and love yo' videos ❤
Pocket edition isn't the same as bedrock. Pocket edition is exclusive edition for mobile, where you can play where and when you want. Bedrock is Multiplataform, they want you to play with your console friends, windows friends... In the video he isn't playing on pocket edition, since it ended on 1.2.
Idk man I feel like it’s really up to whatever version YOU prefer playing. Just because one version is “better” doesn’t mean everyone is gonna instantly agree and throw away Java edition.
I'm surprised by people who compare the Bedrock Edition and Pocket Edition versions even though this version is the same, only the Pocket Edition has been renamed Bedrock Edition.
Java: Has no sense at all but still idk why everyone likes it (including me) Bedrock: Has 99.99% physics but still no one likes it (Not included pocket cuz its just bedrock's ripoff)
Pocket edition: 99% makes sense(because of the end portal thing) Bedrock edition: sometimy makes sense(because of world generation) Java edition: mostly doesn't makes sense(not much details) 👇(If you agree)
Bedrock: Better ripoff of Pocket Pocket: Horrible, laggy bad uncomfortable experience Java: Comfortable, modern and classic experience, more fun and playable.
It seems like you're referring to different editions or versions of the popular game Minecraft. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Minecraft has several editions, and there might have been updates or changes since then. Let me provide information based on what was known up to that point: 1. **Java Edition:** - This edition is developed primarily for personal computers and is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. - It has a long history and was the original version of Minecraft. - Java Edition allows for extensive modding and customization, making it popular among players who enjoy modifying the game. 2. **Bedrock Edition:** - This edition is developed for various platforms, including Windows 10, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices (iOS and Android), and more. - It features cross-platform play, allowing players on different devices to play together. - Bedrock Edition has a different codebase than Java Edition and is optimized for performance on a variety of platforms. 3. **Pocket Edition:** - The term "Pocket Edition" was used in the past for the mobile versions of Minecraft (iOS and Android). However, the mobile editions were later unified with other platforms under the "Bedrock Edition" umbrella. - The mobile versions are essentially Bedrock Edition, offering cross-play and compatibility with various devices. It's worth noting that Minecraft is continuously evolving, and updates may have occurred since my last knowledge update. Always check the official Minecraft website or other reliable sources for the latest information on editions and versions. Additionally, the terminology used by the Minecraft community may change over time. If there have been new developments, I recommend checking the most recent sources for accurate details.
Pocket and bedrock are the same thing because it's easier for people to remember, meaning some people call it pocket edition and others call it bedrock edition. Edit: These editions of Minecraft are on all devices.
I remember when minecraft on mobile was still called pocket edition Now it’s just bedrock, I still play minecraft on mobile but I play with a switch pro controller
In my opinion, Bedrock is better. The Minecraft Java is considered outdated because it uses the Java language, which is known to be heavy on casual computers. Additionally, some limitations of Java have caused performance issues as new features such as blocks and mobs are added. This has led many players to rely on mods like OptiFine to play Minecraft Java casually. However, using such mods often brings about various functional bugs since they are not native to the game itself. On the other hand, Minecraft Bedrock was completely rebuilt from scratch using the C++ language, which is commonly used in modern games. This reconstruction has resulted in significant performance improvements as it is better suited for this type of scenario. Moreover, Bedrock has introduced new and refined game mechanics. The main obstacle to migrating from Java to Bedrock is the issue of mods and popularity. While Java remains appealing to modders due to its moderately easy language, the community has become accustomed to creating mods specifically for this version of the game. However, building a modpack in Java can be challenging due to compatibility issues between different mod versions and potential FPS drops depending on the modpack's size. In contrast, Bedrock structured the game to support Add-ons (similar to mods) directly within the game, eliminating the need for modloaders like Forge, Fabric, or Quilt. Although Bedrock utilizes the more complex C++ language, it offers a simpler and paid approach to adding mods and textures. However, due to this paid approach, it is difficult to find high-quality free mods available for Bedrock. In summary, while Minecraft Java has been popular for its modding capabilities and dedicated community, Minecraft Bedrock offers better performance and game refinements due to its reconstruction in C++. Although the lack of free mods is a drawback, the native support for Add-ons and the simplicity of adding textures can compensate for this limitation for some players.
a pocket edition hasnt existed since the better together update which merged it with other versions (i.e console, windows 10 and ps4 edition) to form Bedrock edition since like years now
Вообще нет. Показано что на бедроке работают бесполезные фишки (типо катания на скелете лошади или песочная пушка), а на джаве работает хотя-бы тот же прикол с дверью под водой
@@RobertCLD28 OK you cannot say pocket is better than bedrock or Java. It is the worst controls. It is the most glitchy. I mean if it’s the only thing you have them whatever but like I would not say it’s better than any of them.
