Build a text search input field from scratch. Type something in the field and search through the website text for matches. Matches will be highlighted with a background color. Do this with just plain Javascript (No Libraries).

Don't hesitate to ask for help if you face any trouble re-creating a project from any of my videos. I will gladly help :)
All of my project are made from scratch by yours truly. I don't take anyone's code as my own, but I do often see my code being copied and pasted into other channels for their tutorials, so of you see an exact copy of a project on another tutorial, just know that the one on my channel is the original one.

Man I was struggling to find this. In all videos the JS worked, but was limited to just one paragraph. You helped me. Thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart❤.

hello, thanks so much for the tutorial. i dont know if that has happened to you but if the search input ends on a whitespace your highlight function removes the whitespace from it . meaning it will stitch the next word on it. for example take "New Works". If search input is "New" the output is "New Works" but if I search "New " (whitespace at the end) the output is "NewWorks"

your code is really helpful but can you make a video which also shows word count for searched word and drop down arrows to go to the paragraph we want, like we get when we use ctrl+F .
