I feel like it's important to learn both, i learnt python and still learning but i figured you can't do much with python alone, especially for a full stack developer. Learn CSS, HTML and Javascript, then python, django and SQL

@@paler6785 there are a lot of online platforms and bootcamps, you can use udemy, freecodecamp and RU-vid. Also Edureka and coursera.

@@paler6785 check out coursera , it's free to learn but if you want a certificate at the end of each course, you'd have to pay

I recommend www.w3schools.com u will learn any prog language u want with simple method and u can try the coding they do in their website

Learn both, why choose between the two ? If time is an issue, choose the one that fits your goals atm

There is only 1 front end web dev language. One and only. JavaScript. It's irreplaceable and with Node or Deno, you get server side as well. It's the holy grail of programming languages. One language, that allows you to do both front and back end

@Bonzer Blog nope, for JavaScript I competed the front end. When it came to node it started having negative effects on my studies and other freelance projects. So again I had to take a break from both, but I will resume again in this month.

@Bonzer Blog HTML, CSS is easy but you can still do a LOT with these. But JavaScript is difficult, it's like hitting a brick wall. I am in the middle of both JS and Python, but I had to take a break. Important thing is resuming from the place where I left instead of starting from the beginning again.

I'm currently learning Python and I think that Python was the right choice of programming language for me, as it's more naturalistic syntax will enable me to more easily grasp the principles of what I have heard described as "computational thinking" -- i.e. general computer problem-solving skills. After learning Python I will probably move on to JavaScript.

Thanks for your video, concise and clear! I would add that when you talk about asynchronous programs you are describing concurrent programs instead (run in parallel). Asynchronous is basically the ability to perform non-blocking operations based on callbacks. In Javascript is achieved by the Event Loop. For example, NodeJS is single-threaded (only one thread/operation at a time) and it's also asynchronous. For the purpose of the video, I think is equivalent =), just adding this info here in case someone wants to dig a bit further in Concurrent and Asynchronous programming

Not a fan of the VERSUS angle. Your best chances of success rest on learning both Python and Javascript. Python is 32 years old and Javascript is 28. Both have stood the test of time and are integral in web development. Which should you learn first? Sure. But learn both if you want to be a winner.

ok? JS is way more powerful than Python. JS is the holy grail of programming languages, it can do frontend and backend. Python can only do backend.

Oh yeah because you're all fooled by the joke of it being easy to learn. Ok yeah it is but it's literally USELESS on its own and hard to find use for it unless of course you are a data scientist or a specialist in a field such as engineering or web development
