Confused about whether you should buy a Jawa or not?
Well, here are the top reasons why I think Jawa is a great motorbike compared to its competitors, coupled with a few reasons where I think Jawa needs a bit of improvement. Though finding reasons to dislike my Jawa 42 was a bit challenging, I have tried my best to still come with a few reasons and counter-balance the story.

Jawa should not miss on important features like trip meter, tachometer, LED DRL and indicators. To keep the classic look along with modern features will attract more buyers. Jawas main rival RE is already giving these features in their new bikes. Dev bhai please convey this to jawa.

I wanted to purchased Jawa bike. Booked in last December. Went to the showroom in Feb for test ride. They said, your bike will be available only after May. On that same day i purchased RE TB 350x. I am happy with it.

Hi Dev, nice videos mate. really informative. but I have a question and could not find an answer online. Do you know of a custom handlebar for the 42? I am a short guy and am looking for a handlebar that can bring the handle more towards me and give me a more relaxed riding position. right now I have to lean forward to ride the 42 and it is not comfortable for me. appreciate your help here.

Now I have been following your jawa feed for like three months. And I have booked jawa 42. But after seeing other owner's reviews and negative remarks regarding small and big issues of rusting, brake problem, battery issues, low ground clearance, narrow and small seat for two ppl, I am soooooo apprehensive about buying this bike. Kindly guide if I should go for this bike or cancel it's delivery. Your honest guidance will be appreciated as i am planning to keep this bike as my long time companion. 🙏🙏🙏

I am sure it will affect.enfield isn't doing much on technology front and its users know that. They still have the same technology they used 5 years ago. No liquid cooled engine either.

Hello @Footloose Dev, I just had Jawa 42 test drive 2 days ago, but I am confused when I enquired about BS6. The dealer said, it is compliance to BS6. So I didn't understand wether the dealer is selling BS4 or BS6.

Not sure about RE. But Jawa has min ground clearance of 165 mm... Seat height is 765 mm

The negative reasons are not much of a negative actually. People often use custom horns and modifications on bikes, especially when you're buying a unique bike like this. Spending a little bit extra on accessories and horn shouldn't hurt.

What about not having tubeless tyres? With the type of roads in cities, tyres are prone to punctures. Why not go for Thunderbird 350x? - Better Mileage - Disc Brake (front and rear) - Better Fuel Capacity - Tripmeter etc - Tubeless tyres - Alloy Wheels

Man, if you have tubeless tyres, you get alloys with it. When accident happens (or any pressure on the rim) the alloys break. So if you are in ladakh and rim breaks, the alloys break, menacing, your tyres has fallen apart. Now you buy a new tyre, install it and then bring your bike from where it happened. But of you have spoked wheels (that come with tube tyres) and anything happens, your spokes take the tension, maybe a few of them break, the rim may or may not bend, but you can still ride it. Since you don't have alloys, your tyre doesn't fall apart. Hence, touring bikes come with spoked wheels. Your 2.5L interceptor comes with spoked wheels.

Dev Ground clearance kam hai because of tyre dia size.Maine khud chalai hai Gadi solid lagti hai...par engine high revving hai.Aur main Gaurantee ke saath keh sakta hoon RE 500 ko bhi ye top end me beat karegi..lekin 500 ki presence aur initial ride feel great hai.Baaki RE waale Indian customer ki kadar nahi karte

I have ridden dominar just once bro. A friend owns it. Comparative, handling is easier with Jawa I think. In city, Jawa for sure. For long rides, I cannot say as I haven't tried Jawa for a long ride yet.

Things that I don’t like: The position of the key & that it is combined lock (ignition & lock are separate) The awkward placing of the speedometer & absence of tachometer. Not to say the speedo needle is also upside down. The absence of kick starter. Trust me you may not need it now, let the bike age and then you will. No main stand .... seriously ! The absence of rear disc brake specially on a bike which costs you 1.5 lakhs + Well Footloose Dev, the lights which come on if you turn the ignition key is not fancy that’s requirement AHO, all the bikes & scooters have them now. All the above points combined with the points talked about in the video, I guess Jawa sounds much of a deal breaker.

You have not mentioned tubeless tires and comfortable seats. The main two factors for not buying a Jawa.

Check when the video was published bro... Probably when you didn't even know there's a Motorcycle in India under the name Jawa. Those are later finding. Please check all videos.
