In Malaysia we eat chaeto HAHA. I didn't know till yesterday when on a Facebook reefing club someone posted a pic of their chaeto salad. Apparently it taste really good with spicy dressing ahahah
Very nice to see the diatom issue is under control. Very nice mushrooms and the Utter Chaos are gorgeous. I also have had no luck with them. I had 2 colonies melt away so I am laying off them for now. All the best my friend.
Great looking tank!! LOVE YOUR AQUASCAPING! It looks so natural and well thought out. I Just found your channel and loving it. I'll be checking out A LOT more videos!
Yep, I think 45g is a good size as a first reef tank. Large enough to be stable but small enough to still be manageable and not intimidating... especially for a hardcore reef squad member. ;-)
I didn't use a Purple or Coral Plus since I think the Radion should be able to cover those spectrum, but others have pointed out there are gaps in a LED spectrum map.. I may add a Purple or Coral Plus into the mix in the future to see if it would make a different, thanks for the idea!
Wow that mushroom is really nice! Congrats! I also have an expensive coral which i won in a raffle! (Walt Disney Acro) That poor wall hammer looks a little shaded by that monti. And what are your plans with the anemone?
WD Acro? That's awesome man. Yeah I have been thinking about rotating the Wall Hammer out a bit so it is not as shaded... but the Monti has grown to the point that I would have to move the entire wall hammer out. I will see where else I could fit the hammer and what could go under the monti. I am probably just going to leave the RTBA where it is
Hey there! Few questions for you, how often do you test your tank for alk, calicum ect? What are the test you run, like any other besides the ones I listed briefly. And last one, what's your ideal level for alk calcium and other elements your test! I know it's a lot, but as always, appreciate your time! PS. I really want one of those new shirts you posted on IG!
Hey man! I try to test my Alk once a week, CA every two or three weeks, and Mg maybe once every 3 or 4 months? I usually test my specific gravity and water temperature during my Alk test. I don't do Ammonia, Nitrate, or Phosphate test regularly but I do bust out the test kits when the tank is obviously having issue!
The RBTA and Frogspawn seems to respect each other's space... they do seem to sting each other once in awhile but for the most part they leave each other alone. I figure if things get bad the RBTA could move... and they have been OK for almost a year if not more
I still have all 5 of my original fish which were blue/green chromis lol I love the lil guys and I’m surprised I haven’t lost any of them since they were the first fish I put in the tank roughly 8 months ago
I have added Peppermint Shrimp as Aptasia control, they are hit or miss for me... good scavenger for the tank though, but sometimes a bit too aggressive towards stealing food from corals. (Similar to Cleaner Shrimp)
Gotta love reef clubs, I try to buy and trade for everything I need through my local club and it's way cheaper you meet fellow reefers in your community and find great deals on stuff like that bounce mushroom
Not so far but if the RBTA gets any larger it may brush up against the corner of the rack... at that point I would need to move the rack lower to avoid the tentacles
I do eventually want to get a Colorado Sunburst... can you please ask your peeps to chill with the price? =D I think they are going for ~$1000 at the moment!
Inappropriate Reefer they are beautiful nems crazy to see in person! haha I definitely will try that way we can both possibly get one then XD there’s deals on corals and equipment very rarely and it’s like winning the lottery if you can snatch it up before anyone else lol
You may want to remove that sand star. They eat all the good things you want in the sand bed. They eat worms and pods living in the sand and can quickly clean out a healthy living sand bed.
With my 14g I have to clean it every 2 to 3 days, somewhat frustrated since 8 years ago when I had my 75 running I hardly had to clean the glass. I want an honest opinion on this and I believe you could give it to me from the videos I watched. I know the higher volume of water equals (technically) less maintenance. All though with a smaller tank with no algae on the rocks and corals, where does the algae end? Started my tank with old dry rock from previous so no coralline is growing although the "slime algae" grows all the time. I want a stop with it, my nitrates and nitrites and ammonia along with phosphates are all ideal.. Is it really a bigger tank it grows less or is there a more surface volume that it is not as noticeable.. Hate slime algae....
Same request I’m going to repeat Please short videos Please please please I do follow you , but because of busy routine I was not able to watch the video until now , I have FB only so will chase you there lol
Lol sorry! The amount of content just seems to keep landing me into 10-20 mins videos.. you should check out my instagram, all short videos there and a nice variety. Most of them will automatically be shared on FB as well 👍

What's that little jelly looking shrimp on the right bottom of the video around 9:56? (Next to the red mushroom, I know there is a cleaner shrimp on the top left)
