This is probably the coolest video I’ve ever done, because we used actual home video footage from when I was 5 years old. As many of you know, my Dad passed away in 2015, so having old footage of him is priceless, and I finally get to incorporate him into one of the music videos. He would be so proud! The locations we filmed at include the old house I grew up at (both in the old home video footage, and we went back and filmed new footage there, for this video!) and my old high school. I hope you enjoy this video, and I hope it helps you reminisce and think about when life was much simpler. Love yall! -D. Thrash
Get the old gang back together D Thrash, do it for the OG’s, Jawga Boyz and the Lacs are the real OG’s of kuntry rap in my eyes, they started this stuff and every Walmart parking lot in the country on Friday night people were playing you guys.
Hearing this brought a tear to my eye. Not because of being away from where I grew up - 50 years later, I live only 5 miles away. But the tears come because the memories are fading. Fading not just because of age but because a small 2 Lane road took on paved shoulders, then bicycle lanes, then the lanes were widened and homes were torn down and replaced with sub divisions. Mom and pop stores were replaced by strip malls.
I lost my dad 32 years today. This song hits close to home. Another song hits close to home is shadows. Keep up the good work brother. And thank you for the great music
This hits me in the feels with the home videos of you and your dad. I lost my dad in 2022 and I have days just like this song were I sit there thinking of the good memories. This is a great song and video by y'all.
Man I was thinking about the old times in the 80’s when I grew up. Just makes you sit and think how fast time goes by. Song is fantastic and hope to hear some more music.
@@bethspeakman9168 meh, he was in his own lane. I wouldn’t compare the two. Bubba was not near as redneck. When you have timberland making your beats….. just ain’t the same. D Thrash changed the game and brought real country ass rednecks into the genre.
You know your songs remind me of my dad he died in 2018 and I got him listening to your music we were actually trying to come to one of your concerts but couldn't make it and now that he's gone everytime I hear your songs the memories come back thank you for making songs like this me and my dad enjoyed listening to
Definitely memories come back no doubt on how it used to be. Them days are long gone n sure do miss them. Miss your music 🎶 n hopefully you'll have some more.
Well, this will be in my speakers all day today. I believe we're at the end of the world, boys, so I recommend living every single solitary second as if it's your last. The memories we create here will absolutely 100% matter in the life after.
This video just takes me all the way back to memory-ville, to think about those that are gone & missed & good times along the journey. Thank you for this!
D thrasher in a blacked out duramax rolling coal in his rig … D thrasher has awakened just like me …. Just sit in the woods and chill and let the sounds play with your eardrums
Same here it all started for me 13+yrs back listening to Ridin High , All the Girls wanna Ride ,you know , the Classics -haha but:) Mad Respect 🫡 D! Our lyrical Brother that started it all thank you
That song is amazing. I closed my eyes and was taken back to memories of my youth, time spent with family and friends that sadly are no longer around, but this unlocked the memories. Thank you for this. I’m sure while writing this, you had a similar type of feeling.
Beautiful sound of music Jawga Boyz this song is amazing good keep up with the amazing brilliant country music rap songs words of music can free the soul of memories and take us back of good memories though thick and thin we all post be there for each other's thickest mud country boy's life style
Hard for me to listen to it, because I feel your music, lyrics, and way of life so much. Feels like bonds of a person/group (you) that I've always known on a different parallel. I know much loss as well. The only thing in life that is permanent is change. And I GUARANTEE you this Oklahoma boy here would've been instant life friends with if we weren't states apart. I've missed your vibe Thrash.
Love the video. I lost my dad in a car wreck do to an intoxicated driver when i was 6 years old in 2001. Every time i go to my grandparents i remember the good times i had with my dad and grandpa wrenching on the dirt bikes or the trucks. 2001 just sucked also lost my favorite Nascar driver in February
The video we needed a decade plus ago and so glad he finally made one for this song particularly 🙌 shit is always a goto for deer camp bonfires or when i am burning leaves and sticks at 🏡...... definitely takes me back to my old days down in Iberia and Brummley Missouri when we would hit the back gravel roads on blunt routes as teenagers 😂.....
