The judges were actually complimenting Bugoy while he was singing. They were asking themselves how did Bugoy learn how to sing like that because Bugoy said that no one taught him how to sing. He was just listening to songs while mopping the floor of the canteen(where he works before).

When Maestro Ryan Cayabyab and Director Jose “Joey” Javier Reyes were talking while Bugoy was singing, this was their discussion: Cayabyab asking how did he learn how to sing that way? Reyes answered “Plaka. Plakang-plaka.” Plaka refers to record, and he was telling Cayabyab that Bugoy imitates how the original artist sang the song. And they both agreed that he sang it clearly, and his voice is beautiful and natural. By the way, Ryan Cayabyab is a National Artist for Music, while Joey Reyes is an awarded director and writer in the Philippines as well as a professor. I was able to meet Mr. Reyes as a speaker in one of my classes in the university and he really knows his craft.

Bugoy said that he was singing in their farm while working as well as singing on his partime job as a janitor at canteen . And the salary that he have got on his job, he used it to support his tuition.

Oh M G... When I saw his audition before, I was like jumping and clapping because I was so amazed with his voice... a Janitor with that RnB Voice... Goshhhhhhhhh All Smiles for You Mr. Bugoy!!!! I'm a Fan!!

I can still remember that season way back 2008. He came in second, but that doesn't stop him to become the most popular among the contestants after the season ended. Yeng won the 1st season btw. Those voice mentors really did mold his raw talent to what it is now. Powerhouse judges too.

While he was singing, the auditioners (Ryan & Joey) were talking how good his voice is and they wonder how he learned those styles without any formal training. You said 'how dare those 2 talking while he was singing. While he was still singing, they were already praising him and maybe already decided that he passed the audition and will be included in the final list.

Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet was a guest sort of judge in that show for one episode and Bugoy sang a Stevie Wonder song to him. Tony was really impressed and asked Bugoy where did he learned to sing like he did. He asked his age and said that at the age of 18 he already have a great control of his voice. When he left the studio on the way out he even told Mr. Ryan Cayabyab that Bugoy will go places one day.

DJR: Wow, let us hear it. *Bugoy sings* [Discussion] M: Oh, then where did he learn that style of singing? D: *interpretation* voice is as if a plate record (he said plakang plaka), but the voice is clean and clear.. Natural *After singing* Molina: *can't hear what she said at first due to pauses*.. You're voice is beautiful, however sometimes the sound "from down" is not the same with the sound "to out/up" B: *sings* I--- Molina: Just relax. Wish i have 4 hands (later on) Molina: I hope you get in, because we can fix that. MRC: You know Bugoy, I like you. I like the voice quality. I hope you get in because there is many we can fix from you DJR: I'll be frank on you. There is much packaging to fix to make you a star. But if you have talent, packaging becomes irrelevant and you will become a star.

Pinoy dream academy its like a school. Where there were mentors. They had also classes. They all stayed in one house( coz it looks like a pbb house lol) or academy. Those persons showed in the video were instructors/teachers inside the academy. And every weekend they had like competition.

In case you didn't know, Guy Sebastian is a singer from Australia who won on Australian Idol back in 2003 when Shannon Noll was runner-up.

The comment were saying an amazement they already recognize the talent. This is dream academy it is like an audition for a music scholarship that they could learn music the proper way. Graduation best score is the winner. But most pf them are deserving.

I remember, Philippine Dream Academy is a singing reality show at ABS CBN...and I love how everyone work inside the 🏠....check on the other contenders 😊

He won 2nd place. They were 'locked down' in a house where they get daily training from different mentors (voice lessons and over-all performance) just like a school, hence the program name "Academy. I think there were 16 contestants and there's a weekly elimination where the contestant with the lowest grade is eliminated. Laarni Lozada was the winner in this 2nd batch. The first batch was won by Yeng Constantino. '

Pda is like pinoy big brother of musicians but real talents

PDA is a singing competition but they were gathered in one house to train to dance and sing and perform every week. Bottom 3/2 by the judges but will be eliminated via public votes every week. This show is similar to the sister show *Big Brother* format because they don’t have any contact outside the house but less drama, more on training and practice.

Bugoy was not fired by ABS, limited projects were given to artists due to the non renewal of ABS legislative franchise. This is the reason that many artists chose to transfer networks for work. Same thing happened to Bugoy. As for Daryl Ong, it was not confirmed by both parties that he was fored due to that incident that leaked where he was recorded making negative comments about ABS regarding it's application to renew their franchise.

There's a video where they guested Tony Hadley (spandau ballet) in the show and Tony was impressed with Bugoy saying he had a big chance.

My classmates still call me "Agui" (but the G is pronounced like J), coined from my surname. I'm betting that Jay became "Bugoy" to his friends because of his family name Bogayan.

If its Mr C (Maestro Ryan Cayabyab) its not just "blah blah"... And he can dare anyone if its singing we're talking about.... Kitchie Molina helped Regine Velasquez with her singing after she got pregnant since her voice changed and she needed to unlearn and relearn some techniques specially how she does her belts... Ms Kitchie was also the one who introduced the Mcclosky voice technique which emphasizes the importance of freeing tension from the voice to achieve better sound production when singing... That's the reason she was massaging bugoy's jaw and face area as she said bugoy's muscles on those areas are quite tight that's why some notes are not hit
