I can’t believe I am just finding this… I heard the Stakes is High remix at a club in the early 2000’s and it always haunted me that I couldn’t find the wax. DJ said he got it from Fat Beats. Years later I forgot about it and then bam I am watching Diggin in the Greats and now my quest is complete. I don’t have the wax but this will do. That Master Ace remix melted my mind. And I am going to say, I like the Woo Hah remix better than the original. RIP Dilla, what a genius.
Heard about this on the Diggin The Greats Ep about Dilla and had to hear the D’Angelo remix. Sheeesh, who the hell at the label dropped the ball on that one?! Also, Dilla must’ve done like 4 remixes to Woo Haa cause I have the official CD single with at least two other versions on it.
Does anyone remember a stakes is high dilla remix instrumental found on "midnight snack" fan made compilation beat tape? Never found it since that vid was deleted in 2017. It had a piano sample.
