Let's remember what you said in the beginning of this interview and that being that players are people too. Referring to JOK's 2nd season his brother was murdered. I think that dealing with that would take precedence over playing football. Then he got injured.
This is a great point that I hope Bull reads. His brother was his best friend and was murdered by their cousin no less, that’s beyond what most people have ever dealt with. I imagine that, along with the injuries, played a huge role in his “sophomore slump.”
