She claims to have always had the voice she had on "The Nanny", but in this interview, she doesn't sound like she does in the episodes of "The Nanny"

Probably because people spoke different in the 70s, and 80s. (speaking from the bottom of their throat instead of the top) During the 1990s they started speaking louder.

@@eva5601 People just spoke softer then. The nanny voice was exaggerated but she’s always had a new york accent. She’s from flushing.

She has mentioned a lot before that in those days she was trying to hide her real voice because she got that advice, that is also why she spoke slower. Eventually she decided to just talk her own way and see what would happen with her career.

Her accent was much stronger at this time. I wonder if she toned it down, that happened naturally being away from New York, or she had some kind of voice lessons.
